Thank you so much guys for your amazing video!!! My favourite hike was Pico Grande!!! So beautiful and so quiet and peaceful compared to other hikes. I hope it will remain a bit of a secret hike as it would be sad if flocks of hikers start to crowd this beautiful hike. I camped near the peak and had the most beautiful sunrise !! Thanks guys!
Thanks for your great suggestions. I'm actually in Madeira right now. I would just push back on one point you made and I say to your viewers DO go on the 25 Fontes hike. When I first caught sight of the lagoon at the end of the hike I wasn't too impressed either. Slowly I worked my way right up to it and WOW! The emerald green water transitioning to crystal clear. The sound of the streams gushing down. That place is MAGICAL! I could gave sat there all day. Sorry you didn't feel the same, but keep up the great work and thanks again.
@@martymendes1 if there wasn’t a hundred people when we got there, I’m sure we would’ve felt the same! Glad you had a much better experience though! Happy travels 😄
Thanks so much! We’re planning a hiking trip to Madeira on the 18th October. Your video is really useful because we seem to enjoy the same kind of hikes to you. We’re going to see if we can find a way of continuing from Pico do Ariero so we don’t have to come back and meet all the tourists. Thanks so much.
Guys I am here in Madeira right now and I can tell you it's hard to find any remote hiking spot on the island without hordes of other hikers alongside. I found one nice quiet one called Levada del Norte. I am afraid the island will be ruined by overtourism as greed has taken over the Tour Companies. Please don't tell me it's any better in the off season either.
Thanks for watching! Which hike would you try first?!👇

Welcome 🙌
Hey guys, great video! This has been super helpful! Thanks! Question, is Pico Grande 7.2km out and back or is that one way?
Thank you! That is out and back 👍
Great video! Just how crazy was the drive up for the Pico Grande hike?
Lots of switchbacks but it’s also a beautiful drive!
Hey Guys - Thanks for all the info 🖖🏼

Welcome! We were there in September/October.

@@michaelthatcher3825 yeah, that tends to happen during high season. That’s why we travel in the off season.
4:55 serious??
Serious about what?
