  • Valiant, a weapon wielded by a Jedi master of the old republic. This base saber is handcrafted by Kennedy Custom Props, and showcases an array of specialized features. The blade plug is a multi part with cog and brass screw, mounted on aluminum. The emitter is a ball turned shape, with lines, brass greeblie and brass M3 thumbscrew. The neck is thin, for ergonomics, and holds a red tactile 8mm ignition matrix. The grip is constructed with a floral pattern acid etch and overlaid with a windowed shroud. Along the lower portion is a brass covertech for belt retention. The pommel is held on with a modified thumbscrew, allowing removal without tools. The pommel showcases an angular design with a brass accented base and venting for sound. Despite having a smaller speaker compared to some counterparts, the exceptional design creates great resonance.
The interior crystal chamber is a feat of engineering not seen before. Being a miniscule 115mm long, fitting a massive main chamber and fully featured electronics in a completely removable standalone chamber was a daunting task. At the top of the chamber is a Smuggler’s Outpost 16-pin chassis connector. Although a smaller, fourteen pin, or perhaps even twelve, would have sufficed, the added visual intricacy of the additional connector rings was a necessary aesthetic choice. The connector is seated inside a 3mm thin metal holder, and the utmost of care was required when wiring this apparatus to avoid short circuiting. The chamber itself is constructed with entirely custom made components, down to the m2 assembly screws. Positioned along the circumference is an array of detailed, handmade rods of copper, aluminum, brass, and steel. On the back spine of the chamber is two pairs of MB Sabers plasma gate pipes details, with brass accent rods carefully bent in a way that appears to hold the crystal in place despite not touching. The crystal itself was carefully selected to be large, clearly faceted, and cut in a way that allows clean and sharp illumination. Below the main chamber is a metal sleeve covering the electronics. Despite having thin walls, the tube is detailed with many milled circular cutouts, and an assortment of intricate 0.8mm rods turned by hand with a graver on a 1940s Bergeon watchmaker’s lathe. Inside the chamber is a Proffieboard V3.9, 13850 battery, Smuggler’s Outpost 22mm speaker, an in the emitter is a SCW NPXL V3 blade connector.
