What wait.... there are more than one variety of Black Sapote. The detail you take is amazing with all that you have occurring at same time.

The best growers are obsessed with scouting their trees for hours to stop problems before they get overwhelming then have no choice than to use chemicals we really don’t want to use. I got this habit when my deceased citrus trees were getting infected with greening. This season besides occasional cottony cushion the last few weeks mango scale has been spreading logarithmically. No matter what I spray the next day there is more. And I theorize that mango scale damage is the primary entry point of BBS.

@@audreyasbey3745 I spoke to Alex Salazar about the scale problem and he said Horticultural oil was the way to go. I bought Bonide Hort oil. Seems like it is working. But I only spot sprayed and didn’t do whole trees.

🙏🙏 use of old tooth brush to clean these scales weekly works nicely.larger ones can be taken off with sharpened incense stick.

Interesting I didn’t know scale bugs like black sapote plants... we have a similar type of scale bug that lives on cacti here in Tucson Arizona called cochineal... Native Americans in this region gather and use it to dye cotton/wool... thanks for the info Chris 💗 hope your having a great day

Full strength Horticultural oil demolishes cottony cushion and all scales. Just experienced this the past few days. Neem oil is useless. But I only spot sprayed and didn’t do the whole trees. I’m hoping the full strength oil doesn’t damage any leaves. So far so good. You can actually see the pests getting emulsified as soon as the oil hits them!!

Quick Question: Usually during what month do your Indian varieties of mangoes (like Alphonso, Neelum, Malika, Kesar etc.)?
Also, when the mangoes are available, will the website state exactly what varieties are available?
I am asking since I'm a bit far away, so I'd like to know what varieties will be available.
    Thanks.

I've seen those gooey clusters before. They're quite annoying and messy!
