THANK YOU, for using the terminology “died by suicide” instead of “committed suicide.” Also, thank you for highlighting the positive things he had said and stood for on his social media and not only the dark stuff. I appreciated the empathetic coverage of this story.

It’s crazy how someone can look so normal and unbothered but deep inside fighting a battle that the next person could not even imagine

My heart is broken for her. My son committed suicide and loved him more than life itself. We never know why love isn't enough to save our children. I will never be the same person nor will she. Losing our kids is hard enough without losing them this way. My world exploded. As I know hers did. Prayers for her. God bless parents who survive the most horrible loss of our lives.

When I heard about this I sent all my kids a long text telling them how much Iove them and I apologize for anything I ever did to hurt them, to never live with guilt and regrets! I want them to know how much I am here and will never judge.

Like "died by suicide" instead of "committed suicide."Dead people can't talk". I thought the newspapers said that Ian was found dead.

people who commit suicide dont realise the emotional devastation they leave behind for their families, he was an only child which makes it worse for his mum..so sad!

Depression is real and needs to be acknowledged in the Black community!

It goes to show you no matter how much support you have around you, inside someone's head and feelings only one knows. RIP

It's an unhealthy bond for the son being that close to the mother in adulthood. They become the son/boyfriend and never venture out to get their own lives or partner. Sad story

I’m still in shock… Regina is such a talented and beautiful woman and I know her son was her ENTIRE world. Social media can be so cruel I hate it played in his death in anyway. I’m happy that he did let her know that he loved her unconditionally. I’m sooooo sad. Stay strong Queen. 💔😞😔😢😩

You can tell how much he loves his mother, therefore I believe the pain that man was feeling was absolutely immense to leave her...

As a mother who also has a 26yr old son and he's my only child, I can't begin to fathom how you deal with a loss like this. My heart goes out to her ❤️

I'm so sorry for her loss. I know exactly how she feels, losing a grown son whose also your best friend. I lost my son to covid back in August & it's still devistating. I have a pain in my heart that'll never go away. I miss him so

It really puts it into perspective, you never really know what a person is going through. You can tell his mother meant so much to him. Strength and healing to her💚. May he Rest In Peace 🕊

I lost my mom to suicide in2016 and my father literally drank himself to death this past year. I don't think anyone can ever fully heal from a loss more so from suicide... There are so many unanswered questions. What helps me to just keep going is to know that while it is unfortunate that their pain was larger then my love at least their pain is gone it's a hard pill to swallow but once you do you can at the least accept it
