- E-40 came through for his first all-encompassing VladTV interview, where he spoke about his 30 year career in hip-hop. He shared stories about meeting and working with 2Pac after the late rapper shouted him out on his album, and E-40 also shared a story about his last conversation with 2Pac. Moving along, E-40 addressed his relationship with Mac Dre and denied that there was any direct beef between them. He also spoke about working with Lil Jon on the monster hits "Tell Me When to Go" and "Snap Yo Fingers." For the young kids at home the album from 1995 In a Major Way is essential hip hop listening. Check back in after you listen to that all the way through. It is a top 5 best {yet} under appreciated record in hip hop history in my humble opinion.
These kids won't get it,the game 40 spits on those records will go over their heads.Let them stick to mumble rap, that's all they can understand unfortunately.
+1 . Early stuff was really cool especially flambouyant, rossi, federal....but "in a major way" was next level. Man i played that over and over. Funny, at the time the source mag was big, gave 'in a major' 3.5 mics out of 5 and i just couldnt understand it. Now we know they just had no taste and couldnt recognize true artistry.

It's really interesting I remember growing up and seeing him and Lil John being the most underrated but literally everybody copied them from their peers to the generations after. Because in the early 2000s they are the reason why a lot of underground rappers were able to go mainstream and no one gives them the credit for also being self-made.
