    Thanks for this. Most other videos I found totally skip the wire splicing but you cover it well 👍

    On our 2003 Chevy Cavalier the burned socket has 3 wires: Black in the middle, Red and Green (Green is burned) on the sides. A new socket I bought has 3 wires - all Black. Does it matter which one goes on Red which one on Green, if I connect central Black wires together? Thank you for so useful and informative film.

    I’m having this issue but it’s the 5-pin connector (white& blue) that connects the wires from all 3 bulbs. Can you replace that?

      @@ArrowheadGarage what size are those? Are there different sizes?

    • @ArrowheadGarage
      @ArrowheadGarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They make 3 different sizes, Red (smaller) Blue (medium) and Yellow (large). The red ones are the best for this job.

    Hmmm, ok.... .Did the new connector melt within 2months ?
    The reason i ask is because there must have been an issue for it to melt in the first place, like the headlight unit was drawing to much amps, causing the melt on the connector. I find this normal occurs when the earth point on the unit is bad. Did you check the earth to chassis point for that light unit ? Thanks in advance for your answer. 👍

      Been over a. year and no issues... this seems to be a common issue on their era of GM cars!

      This is often caused by upgrading to a stronger/brighter bulb. However, it can also be caused by debris getting into the original connector when changing bulbs or skin oil on a bulb creating a hot spot. If the replacement connector is fine after a time, then it was probably reason to or three which was solved by the consecutive bulb or socket replacement.
