I am looking for the right yarn to use while taking a Domestika class-the instructor, Mauro Frazao, creates really cool depth by creating tall loops and sculpting/cutting parts down They say to use a more structured yarn to achieve this effect more easily but I am so lost on what I’m even looking for 😩 do you have any advice?
thank you so much, i'm glad you found my video helpful! :) you bring up a great question--i think that by "structured yarn", they mean a yarn with more plys that's woven more tightly. for instance, i wouldn't use a single-ply yarn or wool roving for sculpting. i use the sculpting technique often in my work, and have found the three yarns in my video to be great for sculpting! :)
