As someone who bakes A LOT I can tell you a few things that wouldve helped your recipe (as well as some tips that shouldve been put on the box/instructions) 1) You shouldnt have added more egg if it was too dry, water or oil wouldve fixed that without making your dough tough. (Shouldve been listed on instructions) 2) You rolled the dough sheet too thick. About 1mm thick wouldve been preferable. 3)Add more frosting mix/or powdered sugar to your frosting to make it thicker and prevent leakage. 4) Use the frosting mix as ypur rolling powder rather than flour to make it tastier. 5) They shouldve added a tip section about making your own fillings.
But the INSTRUCTIONS!!! To most normal people, these things are obvious. But there seems to be a disjoint between ‘kids left alone with kits, which don’t give enough info/instructions, And kids with intelligence using kits?’ Bleh! These videos are ridiculous! She likes ‘salt’ and reaches very hard for it. These things are obvious and solved easily. I need to click off, because her negativity is not nice.

I think if you rolled the dough thinner and added tiny amounts of water when trying to reform the dough, the pressing may have been easier and you might have been able to make four pastries.
She is also following the instructions which did not tell her to do that. As a beginner kit (for 6 year olds) they cannot expect them to know to do that 🤷♀️

I'm not saying you did anything wrong,you in the video seemed to have done everything just perfectly, but about 2 weeks before you published this video, I has bought the exact same kit.And my experience was very different,I had more than enough dough,and was able to make 9 tarts and the frosting did not leak,also the dough was cooked all the way through and the end result was pretty tasty!

Here's a cooking tip: If you don't want to use butter in any bakery item that you are making; you can always use applesauce. 💕🍎🍯 Edit: straining the albumin (the thick, snotty, clear liquid in the egg) from the whisked egg will help with scooping spoon fulls of egg. I never had to spoon in eggs for a recipe lol. Just plop them in. The most I've seen a recipe ask (apart from separating the yolks of course) is having to measure them out (but even then it was really just 2-4 eggs)

You added too much flower when you rolled (because it didn't stick to itself) remeber when you have to powder your board your dough will suck it up so make it a bit looser than you think it should be! :)
You can spoon egg if you beat it more so it’s completely combined (saw a tiny bit of white) because the yolk and white are different densities so they slop around each other
Jackie if you have a reaction to butter because of the dairy I suggest Earth Balance, it’s vegan, soy free, made with plants, and its tastes just the same as dairy butter(my dairy loving friends tried it next to dairy butter and they said it tastes the same) (the outside of it has cream and a hot pinkish red coloring package)
I was doing the subtitles for this; and I realized midway through the video the Salt you used in "fifth element" was Salt from Inanimate Insanity and actually; SHE WAS IN THE END CARD! Go on Amazon buy a vintage Easy bake oven. As a child in the early 70s I loved that toy. It actually baked.
Just a tip on the baking, when you made the dough cutouts, you made them rather thick which likely caused the difficulty in cooking them.
