John O'Hurley as J. Peterman is one of the best castings I can think of in all the TV shows I've watched. I can just imagine his serious delivery of ridiculous lines regularly cracking people up during shooting. And Julia was known for being a bit of a giggle factory if she got started (see the plane tickets scene where Jerry actually says, "There's no point in going on. Julia's laughing. ... Go ahead, waste everyone's time!").

I have to say the biggest pressure is on the extras. You don't want to be the nobody who breaks, ruining a perfectly good take.

I think it'd be easy. due to the tension of the situation. it's too serious for you to let your guard down. but the main actors really are just enjoying themself because they don't feel all that pressure.

I think she's just trying to hold character. I love binging sitcom bloopers and that seems to be a trend - I guess the extras and more minor character actors are way more worried that breaking character (even if the stars do) makes them unprofessional, since they're seen as more "expendable." also this lady's character in particular was kind of a bitch lol. but yeah, they probably don't enjoy having to sit there staying in character while the others cut up because they know they won't be fired.

It's amazing how it's always the core actors who get the giggles. It's never one of the bit players or extras. There must be something sobering about not having your place on the show set in concrete and not making half a mil per episode.

    • @F82M4yvr

    • @redacted2275

Yeah. I don't know if there's anything to do with it but Julia is the actor who breaks the most and she always had a pretty comfortable money situation compared to Jerry, George and Michael, to say the least... extras not so much, most of the time they are broke like Jerry or George in the beginning.
