Sweet, I want!!! But I have absolutely no reason to have any of it, not a responder and we don't get snow to plow here on florida.... but still, I want!!! Lol
You were mentioning night operations regarding the bed lighting, but my question is, why not incorporate red lighting in the bed to minimize night vision loss? Or, as an alternative, switchback lighting, with the user being able to choose which color light illuminates the cargo area?
Those grill like look like they would be blocked when the plow is attached. Giving a lot of flashback when the plow is attached and the plow making them useless when on.
I've watched this a few times now and keep coming back to it. I've been looking to do the same thing for my vehicle (14 Ram 2500) because of i'm a first responder, but also do lawn/landscaping/snow. Is there a way to get a rough estimate. I'm from Michigan.
But otherwise, yes.... I've been putting more on the Facebook site. Certainly check us out there for live videos and all the current content! Cheers~Ben
Devin Kan, Thanks for watching. Here is Wisconsin, only one upfitter in the state is certified for CanTrol and they even avoid it. They are the only master in the state and prefer Blueprint as well. This build was GSA and the cost is very minimal. We have seen firsthand a few of the CanTrol builds in the state and in our opinion, Blueprint seems to function better, has less quarks or issues, and has been out and tested longer. Even though we do sell Whelen from time to time, we try to avoid it because of the cost, horrible lead times, and in all honesty, Soundoff is ahead of the curve as far as innovation and customer support.
Honestly I would like to say that both brands are very respectable and make great products, the same true for you guys. But, in Connecticut, Whelen is the only brand seen on emergency vehicles and even the state police have custom lightbars made specifically for CT Troopers. Whelen offers discounts to in-state purchasers since they are based in CT, which I mistaked the prices for being as low elsewhere. Either way, you guys did a great build! Regards from Stamford, Connecticut! :D
Great question..... Wisconsin allows only Law Enforcement to run with blue lights. The emergency management guys are stuck with other safety colors. I know other states allow blue on public works trucks, as it's color wavelength has great properties for long distance visibility especially in bad weather. Cheers! ~Ben
Low Voltage Solutions LLC thank you for your answer, it is quite odd to me, because I live in the Netherlands, and here emergency services only use blue when driving code 3 and amber when standing on a dangerous spot, so the lack of blue is very strange to me.
Because states in the U.S. each have their own ridiculous laws regarding what colors vehicles can run. For example, in one state (I forget which), you can only have red on the driver's side and blue on the passenger's side. In California, you're required to have a steady-burn (on but not flashing) red light on at all times, whether responding or not.

AceBoy2099 saw a video that the city brought plows to clear the streets after a hurricane.

add a headache rack with the new feniex fusion arrow board!
Great build! Too bad you couldn't figure out a way to incorporate the plow controls into the console.

Could you advise how much this system costs? For the labor and external lights.

Just give us a call! (of course it's that easy LOL)
We need a new video man!

COOL MAN
Great install
DAVID L Thank you!
How much does it cost for a set up like this the same way it is?
Radios, lights, siren, equipment and install. I'd say you're in the ballpark of 15-20k. The radio alone is almost 7k.
Why not Whelen and CanTrol? It's the same functions and more, at the same/lower price, and way better looks.

Devin Kan Whalen used to be great. But their lead time sucks and here in NJ I'm seeing more and more departments using Soundoff.
Whelen is the most expensive on the market
I want dat
Why don't you use blue? It is usually more visible.
