Number 10 American Pit Bull Terrier
Kicking off our list with an unprecedented ferocity is one of the most muscular dog breeds in the world: the American Pit Bull Terrier. This is a dog that’s endured a trying history. Their strength, determination, and powerful muscles may be all for show nowadays, but these canines were once bred for bull baiting and vicious dog fights. Both these sports were eventually declared inhumane and outlawed, but the Pit Bull retains its bulky appearance to this day. The Pit Bull’s strength is now dedicated towards search & rescue and police protection. And their determination and natural hard-working qualities make them champions when it comes to sports such as dock jumping and weight pulling.
Number 9 Doberman Pinscher
The mighty Doberman is arguably one of the most recognizable muscular dog breeds out there. If you don’t see them on TV, in movies, or dog shows, you’ll catch them working as dedicated police and military dogs. They’re one of the finest protection dog breeds out there. In addition to their lean, athletic builds, Dobermans possess a fierce intelligence and stubbornness that make them both mentally alert and highly responsive to training by its owner. Your average Doberman stands an imposing 28 inches tall and weighs a hefty 99 pounds. But its intimidating physique can be pretty misleading. The Doberman is in fact a lot less fearsome and far more lovable than it most people think. That’s not to say that these noble canines can’t fight off an evil intruder though. If properly trained, they’re some of the most devoted companions, protectors, and qualified watch dogs you’ll ever find.
Number 8 Rottweilers
Rottweilers can be traced back to Germany where they were used to serve as mighty guard dogs and to herd livestock, pull carts, and transport goods. Rottweilers were in fact known as “Rottweiler Metzgerhund,” which translates to “Rottweil butchers’ dogs.” Named after their duty, these massive dogs used to pull carts full of butchered meat to the market, until cars and railways replaced their job in the mid-19th century. That said, herding stock is still on their resume these days. But for the most part, they’re used as protection dogs, guard dogs, police dogs, and as search and rescue dogs. They also make for loving and energetic family pets. But you’d best be prepared before adopting one of these mighty hounds. If not properly trained, the stubborn Rottweiler can end up ‘owning’ its owner, as they have a tendency towards being dominant and assertive not only humans, but any other dog of similar size.

Miss my Boxer "Buster". 75 lbs, exercised himself mostly, and could read my mind. Died at 12 (the same week I buried my Grandmother 800 miles away). Vet said he had probably ingested antifreeze while I was away tending to my GM's funeral because he left the yard out of insecurity. Probably the toughest day of my life putting him down. I don't wish that on anyone, ever. Like losing a family member. Still haunts me 20 years later.

I had a Pit bull named Dre when, I was younger and he was hands down, the best dog I’ve had at any given point in my life. Liked nibbling lightly on people’s hands... shoes... ETC...#weird sadly💔 I’m not entirely sure what ended up becoming of him but, pretty sure, RIP😢 Dre. Hopefully you’re in a much better place now.👍🏼

I've got a 4 year old Caucasian Shepherd named Igor who weighs in at 177 pounds. He has the run of the farm and his job is to protect everything on it. He also has 2 coyotes and one bobcat under his collar. The coyotes had attacked a newly born calf and the bobcat tried to eat one of our geese. He also cornered a copper stealing meth head in a tractor cab for a couple hours until we got home and called the Sheriff. He's a good boy and he costs a fortune to feed.

I have cocker spaniel and he was hyperactive when he was younger se we tied him to 5kg weight after week he started to pull it so we made it 10k after 1 week started to pull again then we added 3kg and that didnt help so we decided to not to tie. When i took his leash of his chest was so muscular he was only 3months old compared to 8y.o cocker spaniel his chest was much bigger bulkier more muscular and he was do fit

I think my dog has that mutation. He was got from craigslist - he is supposed to be a lab - shepherd mix. As soon as we got him home, it was pretty clear he had terrier in him. And he is insanely fast. He can outrun our full grown GS like it is standing still - and our GS is already pretty fast dog. And our neighbor has a whipet, and the little craiglist dog outruns it. The first week we got him he fell off a chair and hurt his leg bu tthe vet set is would heal on it's own. Now he has a limp but he just has explosive speed even with the gimpy leg. The more they selectively breed dogs for money and not for casual pets, then there will be no dogs like mine, who is truly a "mutt", so no video for him. Today he was play-wrestling with the GS and he bit the GS steel rabies tag and held onto it until the metal actually bent and it came off the collar. But our GS (who is a mix) has most powerful bite ever... he can crack a solid pig femer bone to bits in about 15 minutes the whole thing is gone.
