There's even better videos of Taj playing this song. My favorite is in Tulsa Oklahoma. You should check it out when you have time. Taj performed on the Jimi Hendrix Experience tour tonight and for the next couple of days. He has a few some more shows planned for this year and then he will start his tour for his album next year. His songs from the album reflect his journey. My favorite songs on the album are Beautiful Things/Bad Trip, I Give Up and Freight Train. Another favorite is Mumma Raised a Man was written for his mum for Mother's Day. The whole album is fantastic! I suggest for his covers Prince's The Ride. He performed it at The State Theater when he participated in the 40th anniversary celebration for Prince and the release of Purple Rain in Minneapolis. It's great but I find I have enjoyed watching his performance of The Ride at Telluride Blues fest. Taj's favorite song to perform is Parisienne Walkways. This is a must watch of Taj's performances. He plays it at most shows so there are many current videos to choose.
You are right about how he draws you in. You should see him perform live. You feel each note he plays. He takes you with him as he plays. He has fan sites on social media and he's well loved.
The backing band Taj plays with is Nathan Bryce and Loaded Dice. Nathan, Dylan and Jerry are all incredibly talented. They open the shows for Taj and then join him for his show. They have their own albums and when they are not performing with Taj you can find them performing at venues.
Taj has played with Rob Thomas, Orianthi, Eric Gales, Christone Kingfish Ingram and Buddy Guy. He has practiced with Kiss, but I believe they didn't perform together because of the pandemic. He has also performed with Morris Hayes. He was the music director and keyboard player for Prince's band NPG. He also performed the keys on the song Mumma Raised a Man on the album. There are other performers he has practiced with as well. Taj also brings talented kids and other performers onstage to play with him.

Yes, he's home schooled. He went through a time in his younger days where the kids teased him about his hair. When you can play a guitar like he can you can wear your hair any way you want. Right now, you have to understand he's doing something like 100 concerts a year. That's insane even for an adult. He's been in the USA and also Australia this year. Family lives most time in a motor home. Believe their permanent residence is now Texas. Another thing you soon recognize is Taj is no dummy. He is one super intelligent young man. When he speaks in front of people he doesn't studder. The kid has brains. And the young ladies will tell you he has gotten very handsome. And think about the fact that in between shows and school work he is writing songs that hit the charts at #1.

I like his guitar playing in the earlier videos. Add that voice, however, and now I am really impressed. Love the grit. I just hope that the adults around him are taking good care of him.

His parents are incredible people! They take wonderful care of Taj and his sister. Taj is a very humble sweet kid.

It’s good you mention that bc the adults are most definitely looking out for him and his sister, Jazel (she’s up a coming musician too). Taj’s parents, Brandin & Cassie, really take good care of the kids and are always looking out for their wellbeing. The band, Nathan Bryce and Loaded Dice (NBLD) has his back as well and a fantastic group of guys that have their own gigs as well.

Maria, Oh MY Gosh!!!! I lost my Socks on this one!!!!! I'm so glad you are enjoying the amazing Talent of Taj Farrant, and my block of sponsored song requests. I wanted to give you some songs from Taj of him a little older, and of him singing, he has a great voice too!!. Your question : School for Taj is all online, he gets a test to do, and completes it daily, and sends it back, and that's it. He is in year ten now. This is what is stated about his schooling. Taj has already played with some of the greats as we know, but this early in his career there is more he wants to perform with, and there will be more new amazing artists as well in the coming years. There is some great info on Taj in this article better than I can put here, enjoy! : Article by Contributing Editor Sally Jane/Guitar Thrills Magazine, online. Thanks so much Maria, for the amazing reaction!!!!!! God Bless You, and your Family, and your Beautiful Kitties, Peace & Love, Thomas & The Kitties from Indiana

Also I like that hes not copying Stevie note for note. That wouldn't be blues, really, improvisation is a big part of it. And it shows his creativity!

Nice. Especially when you consider his voice hasn't fully matured. Thats a lotta grit for a kid, and excellent tone. And of course his playing is already great, and can only get better. Great reaction 👍
