I loved Jay's expression when he realized Quill was dead (again). It's the mark of good storytelling when you get lost in the tale and forget facts you already knew. Sorry for your loss, Jay. 😢😄
This episode came out the week of Rise of Skywalker. They released it that Wednesday and I maintain it was to soften the blow of force healing in the movie. If baby yoda does it then nerds won’t badmouth something that never happened in eight other movies, right?
Well, it was clear in episode 2 that the child was attempting to heal the Mandalorian's injury (twice) and was interrupted before he could do so. So this debate is moot because clearly the show was showing it to be a thing before the movie came out.
@@xSluggySlugworthx Yeah and real nerds know force healing has never worked by draining another individuals life force and reviving the dead. Leia literally had the life sucked out of her and it brought Adam driver back to life. If it did work like that why didn't Obi-Wan suck out what life force maul had left (since he cannonically lived) and revive qui gon? Or if it worked like that why has literally no one ever done something like that, not just in the films but in the EU? Force healing has NEVER worked the way ROS showed it.
3:44 do you guys think he was just having fun up there, or was he trying to keep the ship from going back to Navarro, where the evil guy who had him before is? I'm kinda thinking he glimpsed the future (like Yoda could) and saw maybe that things were going to go really badly for the team. And, let's be fair, he wasn't wrong. Deaths and near-deaths happen, and maybe Baby was trying to protect Mando...who nearly gets killed.
THE MANDALORIAN season 1 episodes aired early Friday mornings--except this episode. This one was aired early, Wednesday, 2 days before THE RISE OF SKYWALKER was released in the US. Everyone and their mother who had seen or knew about this episode reacted: Oh, so they showed Force-healing here so when Rey uses it in the movie it's less of a shock, since Force-healing had not been shown before in movies. Sure, it was done in the Expanded Universe but Disney explicitly negated it and likes to pretend it doesn't exist--except when they take stuff from it (eg, Thrawn, Ahsoka and hopefully, Mara Jade, although she'd be radically different in light of the sequel trilogy).
This episode dropped right before Rise of Skywalker. So the force healing that BY did was a tie in to that. I remember because I got Disney plus the weekend the movie came out and ep 7 was out. Also RIP Kuele. He died a true hero. Hearing Mof Gideon’s speech this time around hits different after Friday’s episode. Gideon was definitely not expecting his words to be used against him in the future by one angry Mando papa bear.
"You could accidentally turn off the oxygen. That seems like an oversight. Don't know why you'd need to turn OFF the oxygen." Fire. Because sometimes, especially if you've got your own breathing apparatus, that's the only way to stop it.
@3:53 in The Expanse they vent the oxigen/air during battles to avoid fires and other stuff so maybe you do need such button :p Btw, I just found your channel and I like your reactions. Subscribed :)
When all this pandemic mess is over with you guys should look at doing a live/meet 'n greet/riff session at a local small cinema or draft house or something. I'd totes fly up for a weekend for something like that.
Luke didn't blow up the second Death Star, only the first one. (If you remember.) He was on board the second Death Star, escaping barely just before Lando destroyed it from within, using the Millennium Falcon. (I'm just sayin' 🤜 💥 🤛) #DontShootTheMessenger ✌
The only thing the stormtroopers ever hit (other than Leia's arm) was...really Thanks to you,...I would love a Three Amigos remake staring Mads Mikkelsen, Giancarlo Esposito and Ben Mendelsohn
I always thought the characters didn’t know about the Jedi because the empire had suppressed the story of the Jedi and replaced it with political propaganda. They never explicitly explain this in the films so I don’t know for sure.
since the first Star Wars, it is truly amazing how something so poorly written has dominated 5 decades. If out now it would never stand up and be ridiculed compared to other great shows out. Nostalgia keeps it going.

Obligatory comment... They used the 501st (a large star wars cosplay organization) for these stormtroopers. Many of these outfits were fan made.
9:27 I was just making an FMA joke when it comes to robot limbs but then you came up with "automail". XD

Came to the comments to say this. 100% correct.
I mean the real nerds know that force healing has existed in the EU and video games for seemingly ever.
Doesn’t stop them from complaining about anything.

I feel like the guns don't have stocks because they don't seem to have any recoil.
Just love watching your friendship and humour, whether you are gaming or reacting to a programme or trailer. Keep up the good work 🍑🍑🍑🍑
Watching this after just getting Disney +. Love your reactions to this series. 3:17 is what i tell my spouse "Stop asking so many questions.." lol 😂

So the dragon things are called Bogwings apparently. They live on a couple different planets other than Nevarro including Dagobah.
When I need a pick-me-up, I just re-watch pReview'd. It's just such a fun channel with awesome commentary :)

What a spectacular idea!
The fact that you would take a flight to see us is so awesome. I needed a little pick me up today and you did just that. Thanks for being a peach 🍑

Hi Jay and Adam. I'm curious if you reviewed the new trailer for Kevin Costner's new movie called Let him go?
IG-11 is played by Taika Waititi
If you guys haven't watched it on your own, y'all should react to Bly Manor! It's awesome and I think y'all would enjoy it.
Why do people hate midi-chlorians?
Beef Stroganoff is indeed gross!😁

Pin this and I’ll offer everyone a libation 🥃
