Thanks for the encouragement. My surgery date looks more like December/January . You look great. All that energy is what I'm looking forward to. All the aches and pains won't be missed.
Congratulations! I had my labs done for preop and now have diabetes. My doc ordered Mounjaro and insurance denied it, even though they approved my surgery. Doc has called in Ozempic to see if insurance will cover that. If i get more runaround i will proceed with surgery.
Hi Susan! I was on Ozempic for over a year. It helped with my type 2 diabetes a little but it did not make me lose any weight unfortunately. It works for some and not for others. Hopefully you'll get approved for it and it will work for you. Best of luck and thank you for watching my videos :)
When did you have your first sugary treat? And how did you feel? I'm one week post op gastric bypass. I just had 5 teaspoons of chocolate cake. I feel fine but I feel a bit disappointed in myself. I did the pre op diet for 3 weeks. I didn't cheat once. I lost 13 pounds during that time. I had my surgery on the 15th of December this year and have lost a further 5.5 pounds. I'm finding all your videos so very helpful. ❣️
Hi Sophie. Congrats on taking this step. This operation is an opportunity to change your life. Don't be disappointed in yourself. I find that it's more effective to analyze the reasons why you felt like you needed to eat cake rather than punish yourself for your desires. At this phase of your journey its about discovering your tolerances and discovering yourself. What brought you to the place that you needed to have surgery? How can you learn from it and eventually avoid returning to that place. Give yourself grace to figure things out. I just released my one year anniversary video. I hope it will help you see what it's like one year post op. It's definitely not an easy journey but it's worth it. I wish you all the strength and patience and success! Keep in touch xoxox
Glad you like them! I am so glad that you enjoyed them. I just released a new one today as well. Thank you for watching. Wishing you lots on happiness and health.
Im 6 months post op, lost 80lbs so far. But I've been constantly thinking about food.. it's crazy, but I'm resisting the cravings. Kinda stressful though.
Thanks for watching my videos Patricia. I know how hard it is to constantly think of food and having cravings. Congrats on reaching 6 months! It's a big milestone. Have you started increasing your physical activity yet? Sometimes that helps me focus on other things. Wishing you all the best on your journey. Stay in touch :)
Yes, I wasn't charged anything for having Gastric Bypass because it was recommended by my family doctor. I had high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, BMI over 40% and Fatty Liver. My doctor filled ut a recommendation and I had blood work done. Afterwards I followed a one year program with the Bariatric Clinic to qualify me for the operation. Your medical doctor can give you all the necessary information to move forward in your city. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey and thanks for watching.

I have about 170 lbs. to lose also.
YOU CAN DO IT !!!!! I know how scary it is to think of that number so focus on 1 pound at a time.
@thistothatlife Great news! I saw my surgeon for the first time the other day, and he said 80-90, not 170! WHEW!!!
