A Tip: A bit late now, but don’t remove the two bolts that mount the master cylinder…just loosen them until they are unthreaded from the master cylinder, then pull the master cylinder forward off the bolts, leaving the bolts in place through the firewall. The firewall is double layered, and there are sleeves inside the air space that keep the bolts from crushing the firewall. If you pull the bolts all the way out, the sleeves will drop down inside the firewall, and they are a bitch to fish back out. If you do remove the bolts, you’ll need to retrieve the sleeves, and with the master cylinder out of the way hold the sleeves in place and reinsert the bolts from the pedal side. Once the bolts are back in, It helps to have a second person to hold the master cylinder in place while you get the bolts started. A pair of angled hose pliers are perfect for holding these sleeves in place while you reinsert the bolts…or a 5 year old with tiny fingers.
I’m guessing that master cylinder is the problem because they are the worse 4 wheel disc I have ever drove.. they are mustang brakes but the pad is offset on the rotor as not to make 100% contact.. but I’m going to say master cylinder is just crap. they don’t stop very good compared to any other vehicle with 4 wheel disc

@@chriscraft77022 That’s what I’ve read; the 19 mm for ‘67 to ‘72 models is adequate for discs up front but you need the 20 mm one for 4 disc set up. Makes sense because it handles more volume.

So what are four wheel discs like?

I believe that unit was 19 mm bore. For 4 wheel discs you need a 20 mm bore unit. The 19 mm one is good for front discs and back shoes.
