the way she showed Agatha actually upset after Rio agreed to her deal in the beginning of the episode. Like, there's soooo much story and complex contradicting feelings of their relationship told through just Kathryn and Aubrey's faces
I think the bit that broke me the most was when Billy asked “am I killing this boy?” You could feel that he still has guilt like he was responsible for William’s death.
The bit with Alice is so sad, but I love how Rio reminds her that she *did* do something with her life. It wasn't pointless. Alice isn't ready, but she is given a semblance of peace. I really also love how despite her interactions with Agatha, she is actually very kind.
Death isn't evil, she just *is* - she will tell things matter-of-factly, because she has no reason to lie, but she also has to reason to be mean either. Death is a concept, an idea, and any sort of manifestation we see of "her" isn't Death itself - more like an avatar acting on its behalf. Death welcomes people in that way because there truly is no malice, and by helping Alice see that she did something, she accepted her death and moved on.
@@zebrion5793 I love how like media and stuff has moved on mostly from portraying death as this evil ugly thing or always having it as the villain. The Sandman also has another version of Death that I really love and isn't just a psycho evil murderer
Damn Aubrey Plaza brought it in this episode. However to me her best acted scene was when Agatha said when she died she never wanted to see her again you can see that despite being a cosmic entity that line HURT Rio to hear from someone that you can tell she still loved
Loved how you called everyone out on forgetting all about Sharon, Jess. Even Lady Death forgot about her, which, well, apart from everything else, that’s just rude.
That kiss between Agatha and Rio was the most beautiful scene I’ve ever seen! You can see all the hundreds of years of LOVE, YEARNING, LONGING, HISTORY, SO MUCH LOOOOOOVE BETWEEN THOSE TWO!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺
@@dwnkaomwn3953 Agatha said that’s there’s like 120 bodies that “empty out” every minute. An unfortunate situation that just happens to work out positively for Billy and Tommy.
Huge fan of being able to look back at something with hindsight. Agatha has dealt with a Maximoff construct before so she just had to think what would be the rules established by a teen witch like she did when the rules were established by a sitcom obsessed witch. And to the rest of the coven (us included) it just seemed like she understood the road.
more than that- she knew that Billy believed fully that she'd been on the Road. That meant any "fact' she told Billy about how the Road worked had high chance (but not 100%) of becoming reality. So sometimes, it seemed like she knew what was going on because she was essentially deciding it- but she was also off guard sometimes because Billy had the real control to change or add or remove things.
The implication about Tommy not being out there YET by Rio was cause Billy was carrying his soul deep inside, that’s why he had to find a body to put Tommy in, that’s why he sensed him because he was inside him. So the sigil protected Tommy as well from Wanda.
This show solidified Jac Schaefer S one of the MCU’s best storytellers imo. Between this show and WandaVision, I love how protagonist-driven these narratives are. *Nothing* happens in these stories that isn’t the direct result of the lead character’s flaws and psychology. I love that between Billy and Agatha we have a character clinging onto life for life’s sake, who sees life as the ultimate good, and a character running away from death not because she really wants to live, she just wants to die *less.*
I really hope that she finishes out her "trilogy" of shows with a "Finding Tommy" type of thing. It certainly seems to be the setup here but Disney needs to greenlight and fast track it because I need it sooner rather than later haha
I won’t spoil it incase u haven’t watched the finale pt.2 but the true reason she’s running from death hits so mf hard and humanizes her way more than i expected
I loved Billy/Wiccan’s emotional walk of shame away from the hex with his hood up just like Wanda. Had to laugh when he got in the car. A bit too early to have to explain to his parents why he doesn’t need it anymore 😅
It's a great twist when you don't see it coming but it doesn't come out of nowhere and in retrospect makes so much sense. On top of the dialogue that they noted, the end credits of each episode has been showing us all the elements from Billy's room that inspired the road and I never even considered that until now!
Happy Halloween! Agatha All Along quickly became one of my favorite TV shows. It has far exceeded any and all expectations I might have had. Seeing Wiccan in his comic-accurate costume was a punch-the-air moment. Wonderful stuff!
Fun Fact: There was a subtle hint given in Episode two about the Witches Road not being real. The doors that lead to the road formed a hexagonal shape. The hex that Wanda cast around Westview had the same shape.
Agreed! There isn’t too much going on with flashy lights or distracting decor, it feels comforting like we are sitting at a friends house watching together 🩵🩵🩵
Joe and Kathryn, and really all the actors, have absolutely killed the series. But wow. The work they did to leave you guessing and making everything feel super important without giving a clue to WHY it was important.
Jenn getting her power back, the way she made us feel her wholeself was AMAZING!!!! THE KISS OF DEATH WHAT!?! Favourite episode 7-8 !!! Sad we didn't see Rio coming to get Lilia and SHAAA-RONNNN 😂❤ 🖤 LOVE love LOVE this show AnD the twist about the road WOW !
I feel like this show really stuck the landing. I appreciate the changes from the source material. It kept even comic book readers on their toes. More importantly, they nailed all the emotional beats.
I agree, I was worried they were going to try and show Agatha as being misunderstood and not truly evil. They actually showed how evil she was but still showed some humanity in her and her grief over her son.
Danke an alle Beteiligten!!!❤❤❤❤
Loved your reaction to the moment when Death left the Road. I was fully expecting her to do some sort of flashy CGI “cutting” a rift in reality, like that woman who recruited Doctor Strange at the end of “Multiverse of Madness”. But, nope, she just literally cuts a hole in the painted backdrop of the set! Genius, especially considering what we then find out at the end of the episode.😂👏
I envy everyone who didn't see this twist coming. I got a bit too deep into the theories online and saw someone predict everything from the last two episodes almost perfectly. I learned my lesson... :D

My 2 favorite shows this season have been Agatha and Penguin. Both focus on villains, get you invested in them, but they stay villains! That takes great writing!

Thanks for all the fun times reacting to the show. You've been one of my favorite reactors. About the finale, I am sort of getting Randal and Hopkirk Deceased vibes (show where a detective has a ghost partner). I wonder if Agatha will be stuck to Billy from now on? Vampire Hunter D is another title with a similar concept. I think his hand is a separate ghost or Demon. Anyways, I think that could be a way to spice up Billy's character. I like him good enough, sure. But we haven't really seen him alone yet, except ep 6 sort of, and I didn't really like that episode. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the actress who played Jen appear in some other property now. I'd like to see her again. She did just do an interview on the Katee Sackhoff Podcast, here on TH-cam. I don't think she mentioned any other projects, but she did say that they are keeping them tight lipped,, at Disney.
In the comics, Wiccan (Billy) shares some powers with his mom, but isn't nearly as powerful - owing mostly to the fact that Wanda's power is due to her connection to a literal god of the Marvel multiverse. One of the only complaints I have about this show is how focused Death is on Billy. Death in the comics is patient, dispassionate about pretty much everything. She is very content to just wait in most cases. The story that Agatha is getting with Death is partly inspired by Thanos' story from the comics. She manipulates him, subtly at first to serve her, causing him to have an obsession with her. Aubrey Plaza is absolutely rocking her role in the story, though. I hope that she shows up more in the MCU.

Sharon wasn't a witch, so she wasn't part of the coven. Thats why Death didn't count her in while talking about Agathas coven shrinking
