While I'm sure a few people will enjoy perving over their ball collection it won't improve gameplay. PD wake up fix your glitches and speed up the damn game experience.
i wonder how many hundreds/thousands of programing, development and testing hours went into something that will have zero impact on actual gameplay, but will get the spenders excited and motivated to continue spending. i mean, good on them for giving their paying customers what they think they want (tho to be honest, i've never heard anyone ever say this is something they've been wanting). ah well, it's not like it's a secret where PD's priorities are.

Looking at the comments so far I think you've got the feedback for PD/EA. In trying to create more interest and variety to the game they are making it more complex. Obviously intended to encourage spending money on balls to increase their revenue.
Benefits those who are happy to spend money on the game - probably a necessity for those playing the top tours and champions 100 desires - good for those players to get some rewards for all the cash they pump into the game.
No interest to players who don't wish to buy stuff.
It would be nice to have some new FTP balls which you don't have to win by coming top 3 or so in tournaments.

For a FTP player, this doesnt really help. Seems like PD is more interested in making more money from ball sales, instead of fixing the issues in the game. Wont be spending any money on this game until they fix the glitches/issues. Maybe its time to stop playing as PD doesnt care about the player base as long as they making money and this will definitely make them more money. Apologies for the negative comment but its the way i feel and im sure there is lots of people that feel the same way. Game is becoming more pay to win.

Ah, and your point? Do you know what it costs to develop, market and maintain this game. PD gave you the option to play for free, which is fantastic. However, as a software developer, I request that you keep your whining to a minimum. Thank you and cheers

My point is there are so many issue and glitches in the game which are not getting sorted but yet all they do is look at ways to make even more money on a glitchy game. You dont think they make enough money already😂? From all the adds to majority of the player base buying balls every week already? If you want to continue giving PD your money to play a game with so many issues, thats up to you. I for wont be anymore and until they fix the game.

Kudos explaining that Ben but it seems super complicated. Trying to understand a feature we haven’t seen yet maybe part of problem. Anxious to rewatch again after I actually see the process. It really sounds like they over complicated it. Hope I’m just running slow today. LOL Thanks Ben.
I think it will be a great feature set for many players who buy balls for all situations. It won’t help me much though because I buy only a small variety of balls because it can be too complicated to choose from among so many different balls for any given situation. I’d rather spend my gaming energy and efforts on improving my gameplay.

GC is a ball manufacturer. They have to maximize their ball manufacturering. This will afford them untold thousands of dollars. They consistently disregard actual problems such as glitches, removing an opponent in practice mode ( no rewards are given either player) and other issues. This ball "update" is nothing more than a lot of wasted effort on PD's part. What a surprise!😠😠😠
Why does pd make everything so complicated. Surely a simple trade in shop would suffice.
And replace centurions with the new neutron ball

Transfer of pts. from fully upgraded should be able to be exchanged as well. I personally have acquired every ball since I started playing. That 3-1-4 Scorpion ball is an excellent example for exchanging .😊

Yes this feature is great I think it will be an awesome change especially like the new packages every week. Neutron is almost perfect nice addition

When does this update take place?
I understand PD is a business. However, I have not nor will I pay a dime to play. There is no ROI from playing so putting money into it doesn't work for me. It sounds great for those who spend money. It actually may discourage me from playing higher tours, wondering if I can compete with only free golf balls. Thanks for the video, as always.
While in the album ball stats are not visible. This makes deciding whether or not to convert more problematic.
I appreciate you explaining this and it’s a pretty cool feature, but I think there are more pressing issues with the game that should be fixed first. Glitches, connection errors, etc. Also, I think more players would prefer not to have opponents in tournaments as that would make them go quicker and also people might open more accounts. Just my .02 though.

If you don’t have all 20 balls in a generation is there any reason to trade balls for prestige points. If that’s not clear, can you get Neutron balls with Prestige points alone. I’ve got several generations missing 1-2 balls but I’m not going to buy a chance to get one ball to finish. Thanks. You made something complicated as clear as possible.
Thanks for the explanation. Too bad we cannot obtain old branded or licensed balls like The Open 150 ball. Oh well…maybe one day.
This doesn’t do anything for my 431 Marlins getting dry rot and dusty in my collection.

I was hoping for a change that would help me find a way to enjoy Golf Clash again. Sadly this isn’t it. I used to enjoy tournaments, but for a while now it’s been torture. Maybe this change will help me make my decision.
Obviously a revenue stream but I won’t begrudge them they’re in business to make money. VERY glad it’s retroactive. I’m 60% FTP but my little piles of balls might add up to something. Still want distance shortened/needle speed increased on rough clubs though😛
So a new feature that makes them more money.....zero change!
So many things that could be fixed like 1. Practice without partner 2. Practice to real play glitches 3.highly advanced players in rookie etc. and concentrating on things that really don’t do anything
Hey Ben hope all is good mate , just wanted to say that this new ball feature is so complicated and it seems like a big scam from PD to take back the money we spent on this beautiful stupid game 😅 , but the ball they offer is a good one too why not have it open in the shop and let us buy it and save us the headache of albums and prestige and gold silver and bronze sh$t , just my thought on it , appreciate you my good man 🙏🏽
I don’t like it. There are dozens of issues they COULD address that would impact player enjoyment and satisfaction yet PD (EA?) does this. This reeks of corporate greed.

For the ones who do spend money on this game I guess it’s nice. But as a wise man once said,,,, “PD - EAsports is a company buisness!” ITS ALL about making money. That’s what they do.

HUGE mistake - PD needs to allow us to choose the 4 balls we want vs a random draw. They would make SO much more money if they would change it to what balls you want vs random
Also if people dont have all balls in a specific album then they def have no reason to convert any balls as that does no good until u get all balls
I have 18/19 out 20 balls in like 8 generations. NO WAY am i spending 10 bucks in hopes i get one ball when I only have 20% chance of getting that last ball.
They need to allow us to choose the 4 balls. That leads to collecting albums then leads to upgrading balls to get neutron ball. Otherwise there is zero sense to spend money
If i need one ball for collection. I could spend tons of money only to see that I never got that one ball. It cant be random - players should choose what 4 balls they want.

I still don’t understand. In a nutshell, my impression is the game maker wants me to buy balls I’ve already taken a pass on In order to earn free balls. I liked seeing the old balls, tho can’t figure out the stats. All in all, it’s just a curiosity to me but not something I’ll spend much time on. Would rather have an open market where I can buy the specific balls I want rather than this random stuff, or purchase with tourney credits in lieu of KS & Luminaries.
BK, I think you are absolutely amazing, thanks for sharing all information and thanks for the huge work you do. But i think this feature is absolutely bullshit. A normal player will never ever complete a whole album. I have played GC for several years (5000+ thropies) with a couple of buys here and there, iam not even close. Sadly just to make players spend more money. A lot better to wait for the balls you want in the shop to pop up and spend couple of bucks.
This doesn't make Sense, why would I trade balls for special visual effects?

If they don't sort out THEIR connection issues, nobody will be able to play the game to use all their balls anyway.

No - I’m using a specially created account on non-live servers, which is due to my collaboration with Playdemic. I’m not allowed, and actually unable to play live with these accounts (or indeed my old accounts) - so the gems, coins and balls are all useless to me for any other purpose than my work commitments and creating content.
@BKGolfClash oh wow, didn't know you were fully affiliated with playdemic. Congrats. Sounds like a double edged sword not being able to play live play anymore, but if making content is what you enjoy good luck.
Appreciate the kind words! It was tough to give up live play, but I always enjoyed creating content to help people and I am able to continue doing that which is brilliant. Plus I get to do lots of fascinating work on the game behind the scenes too, which is helping with everyone’s enjoyment levels - so it’s another positive thing for me which I like. 😀

All FTP players complaining , stop crying , PD allows players to play for free they wish. Of course they also want to make money. Do you work for free ? Its a business stop crying.
