I want to see more heroes and yeah! More deck building potentials! And bases! I’ll take it all! You guys are rocking it SO hard.
Deck building strategies for sure. Spider-man seemed OP in this particular instance, but maybe there are ways in deck building that mitigates his power. Card collection would also be cool. With all these comics inspired cards, it would be nice to see how your collection is displayed.
I would like to see more about locations, how many there are and how random
Also, minor pet peeve but I would love a battle animation playing out at the end of turn 6, it can be the cards just smashing onto each other or whatever, but it would make victory feel more satisfactory and impactful

Seconding deck strategies, followed by art (showcase/creation of 3d effects/etc) Hyped to see more of anything really! Kind of reminds me of a faster paced Smash Up in a way!
The mechanics are really easy it seems. Now the success of the game depends on how microtransaction heavy it is. Also I feel that the game should play out some animations at victory/loss so that you understand who defeated who and how
They said that the game will be free to play and the progress isn't attached to money. Like any other card game, you'll be able to purchase packs with real money and accelerate your progression, but I believe that as a free-to-play player, you'll be able to create at least one good deck a month.
@@ChillYourSoul I think they’re referring to how the game can be free to play but it can also be pay to win. Just look at what players have said about Hearthstone. Only time will tell how P2W Snap will be though.
@@ChillYourSoul Monetization schemes can be highly predative or F2P friendly. As a comparison, take Magic Arena vs Master Duel. Master Duel is crazy in how F2P friendly it is, to the point people will complain about meta decks being everywhere because of how easy they're to access. Meanwhile, the most complained deck in Magic Arena is one of the cheapest and most effective strategies for f2p players, that crumbles in the face of any meta deck. Starting players in Master Duel are on their 10th/12th deck only 4 months in, while in Magic Arena you can barely make a rogue tier deck every month
Maybe the skin variants are more towards the micro transactions along with a season pass. So far it seems like you only need 1 copy of a card anyway. Then it’ll all be on the balancing side

The bluffing aspects are actually really cool.

I feel like a lot of players will Unga Bunga just play till the end, when the stakes are just MMR, a lot of people are willing to stay in

Would like to see the games meta progression, how packs are opened, what daily awards will be like, if there will be a season/battle pass that awards you while you play ect.
The official announcement vid gave us a quick glance at a season pass kind of thing.
I think after players will get access to the beta it'll be easier to see if this game really is f2p as they devs claim.
From what I've heard there are no packs, instead you get random/set units off of an exp type battle pass + a "collection level" that gives units. Tbh I kind of have mixed feelings about this because I fear every deck will be the same for the first half of your track.
I really like how the snap mechanic is such a simple thing but adds such a big mental impact, also this is a really fun twist to this type of genre as most uses a hp system on both the player and the cards and they did a great job not doing that in a way that still is fun and strategic.
True, I'd say this game really resembles Poker rather than a game like Hearthstone because this game gives you the ability to bluff and thus making your opponent make a choice, either to call out your bluff or stay and lose more cubes. I really like this direction because although the games are short the snap mechanic easily makes up for it.
Styling the cards as 3D comic book covers looks great, and mechanically it seems like a solid game. On the other hand, I don't know if the mechanical scope will support a CCG over an LCG - with only six turns and no combat or activated abilities, it feels like a game you'd happily buy as a deck of cards, but not as your main game.
I think it’ll be a great game for on the bus to kill some time
LCG in the digital setting doesn't seem like it will take off anytime soon. They could always add more mechanics if it's really needed, but for the record I'm pretty sure Nightcrawler's ability constitutes as activated.

Looks fun! Now, the question is, how bad will the business model be... I'll play this game if the microtransactions are mostly cosmetics, but if it's another ''pay to win or suffer an artificially tedious grind'', I'll pass.
I'm loving everything about how this game is looking! Both the visuals and to snap and raising stakes or calling bluffs. Looking really good
I haven't been this excited for a card game in forever.
Little randomness (with the small decks), snappy gameplay, tons of interaction, mechanics that inherently create variety even in a refined and "monotone" meta state, mind games all over the place, astounding art. And the bluffing/gambling is just the cherry on top. Everything i love about games in a single package.

I love how you could play this as a physical tabletop game too. If the digital game is a success, I can see it becoming a real life game!
This IS a physical tabletop. It's called smash up. Only deck building is slightly different otherwise gameplay is the same.
I'll also recommend Air Land & Sea, they all have a similar structure.

its cool looking back at videos and know all the difference then vs now like how nowhere is actually on-reveal abilities don't happen here

I can't get over how every card is just so unique, I'm gonna play the hell out of this! I hope you can make themed decks, like an all symbiote deck would be cool!

Ben Brode, the same guy that create Hearth Stone from Blizzard, that same guy that created powerfull cards and don't nerf anyone , him created a expansion that don't fix nothing and later that created a new other because the first expansion don't sold much.
I'm waiting that this time will be different.

As someone who played in this beta I can say that the game concept and card mechanics are really good. Matches feel impactful as well. But it's a highly Pay to Progress game. For the couple of days I played I was getting new cards easily without much of a grind but as time progressed the grind became more difficult. You have to grind a lot to gain new cards. If you pay you'll get them easily. So I am disappointed for this reason otherwise it's a great game concept wise.

Ben explaining gameplay and getting worked up like the old days, but now with a Marvel flavor to it... I can't help but get excited about this.
Basically the mechanic is just the same as gwent but with marvel character now that is cool. I am hyped for the game
I don't think you understand how hyped I am for this. I have been going through the internet looking for gameplay videos, and then THIS popped up.
It looks so good. AND it's only 6 rounds, meaning it plays QUICK.
PLUS, the Backgammon styled Gambling aspect makes this awesome. You can be SUPER confident you will win, and double down, and the opponent is like "nah, I'M the one who will win", and triple down. Leading to someone ranking up a bunch, or demoting based on how confident you are.
I can see this being a great game, nice time killer, and POSSIBLY a competitive game?
And now we wait for Ben to drop the Marvel SNAP RAP
This game is the game I've been searching for! Ever since pokemon duel got shut down I've been looking for a game with a good team building aspect to it layered with strategic complexity. I really like the snap system, especially how it can be used to bluff. One of my favorite mechanics in board games is being able to wager/spend victory points. Can't wait to start gathering cosmic cubes and climbing up the ladder!

I think the ante system is very interesting. Something a lot of card games don't put a lot of thought into is mechanics that happen outside of the duel itself. It's an additional vector of decision making that I think a lot of games miss out on.
Not sure how that ante system is going to get utilized for tournaments though. Or perhaps they aren't thinking of making an esports scene for this?
@@bojanmatic024 Something akin to the round robin format would fit that style of play, but also not everything needs to be a damned esport.
@@loganbritton6737 sure, not everything needs to but a fun ccg is a damned great concept for an esport if you ask me. Early HS potentially owes a lot of its success to the streaming and esports scene which was vibrant as hell

Mechanically feels like a simplified Smash Up game. I like! Also the 3D graphics and visual effects are pretty spectacular!!

The presentation of the cards is awesome. Love the parallax effect on the card art during the unveilings, and when the cards are moving around. Can tell a lot of love has gone into the game across all departments. The gameplay itself seems perfect for mobile. I do wonder whether or not it will feel in-depth enough though but guess time will tell when we get to check it out for ourselves

Awesome! I was wondering forever what Second Dinner was developing but looking forward to anything with excitement!
This looks great, and while im not the biggest fan of mobile games, this certainly doesnt seem like the stereotype mobile game thats shallow and highly p2w. I am a bit scared of potential monetization, but i have a lot of Trust in second Dinner to come out with a fair and fun game. The snap mechanic is a great feature the mindgame aspect it adds is something i love, and in general the concept of the stakes getting higher the longer the game goes on.
We all love you Ben, this project looks fantastic im really looking forward to playing it at some point (hopefully soon :D)

Big fan of iron man card design, hopefully we see more cards that fundamentally change the way a player looks at the board

Or one that changes or disables the effect of a zone on the map
Or even a card that reduces card cost so a player can attempt a big play
Same here. Honestly the game for now seems fairly simple and aside of the add power to cards cards doesn't seems to interract much. I would like some "tribes" or "teams" to have interaction or bonuses. For example if all 4 cards are the F4 they have +X power etc.
Initially when I saw the game I was intrigued, the use of iconic art and familiar symbols from other games was already a good sign. After watching the initial reveal trailer...I had no idea how the game worked, but this video has definitely sold me on the game. This truly is a very unique card game as touted by the devs. Bravo!

The fact that this game has a limit of turn is so GREAT, cause now no one gonna stall the game forever by just remove stuff and not die like a Control player in HS

Please have for fun matches vs players or AI were there is no ranking. I want to practice and test new deck ideas alot and a more casual play option is great for it. Also AI matches that you can play offline or similar would be awesome. Looks fun but i think how well you balance F2P vs paying will determine success as well

What the point of claiming a duplicate card once you have leveled it up to infinity? Do you plan on having a feature to combine those cards together and make the power of that combined card stronger or…?

As someone who played hearthstone for a long, long time before stopping as it became terrible, I am well versed in Ben Brode’s ability to hype up a CCG.. Damn it Ben here I go again…
Does this feel like a card game made for marvel? Or a card game with a marvel skin? Idk if this gameplay really evokes the marvel feel but maybe I need to play it to get it
Will we be able to earn booster when we play against friends?
I feel the booster system is very optimised for this, Its about the played rounds so there is no abusing of the system. No win traiding, no giving up. The only thing is ending rounds to quick with empty turns (which could maybe be tracked?)
idk but I would LOVE to play against my friends and earn some boosters or complete my daylies with it!!!!!

I love the “Snap” betting system. Risk/reward consideration is always at the core of good game design, imo.
The idea is great but not sure how it will play out eventually. I have a feeling it could play out like playing Poker with playmoney and therefore nobody will ever fold in a million years. I could be wrong though depending on the „value“ of the crystals
Strong "Air, Land, Sea" vibes - it's a physical card/board game that has the same Victory condition: win 2 out of 3 locations
any chance the cards will have Voice Acting? i think it would be pretty cool if cards say or yell something when played.
The snap mechanic is honestly the most interesting and appealing aspect of this game. Really looking forward to it.

I didn't need to know this existed. The amount of nostalgia this is pinging in me for the days of going to the comic shop and buying packs of art cards to collect.... Oh god my wallet hurts already. Looks really nice though, I'm excited to try it. Seems like it has some Gwent influence too.
Can we see some themed sets (like a symbiote/avengers/defenders/X-men, etc...) so we can see them in action and see the synergy between teams? Cuz personally, I want a spiderverse set with characters like Spider-man and hobgoblin and venom
