Thank you so much for your work! I start learning bisaya as a half filipino and you classes are really really helpful. Thank you so much! Have a wonderul day 😊
Thanks for sharing. I know the traditional way of counting from 1 to 9 in Bisaya, but when it comes to double digits, I use the Spanish-derived ones. I didn't learn my mother tongue in school, but I'm glad they're now teaching it in grade school.
Thnak you ma'am i didn't know, how to count numbers in bisaya since nobody taught me but this informative video taught me those numbers in bisaya language.
Hi Ms. Jonah! I’m new to learning Bisaya and I was wondering is Bisaya the same as Filipino and if I was to ever go to The Philippines, would I hear Bisaya being spoken more than Filipino like if I was to go too Manila, would I be understood if I was speaking Bisaya?
Hi. Bisaya is the 2nd most widely spoken language in the Philippines. IF you stay in Manila, the national language which is Filipino or Tagalog is spoken. But if you visit the other main islands of the Philippines Visayas and Mindanao, knowing Bisaya is really a great Plus. To answer your question, No. People in Manila speak commonly in Tagalog. There are a few Bisaya there but again, Manila is not a Bisaya place. However, learning Bisaya is still fun. Happy learning.

Hi Sareya. Yes. I speak Tagalog. Tagalog or Filipino is our National language in the Philippines. Bisaya is the 2nd most widely spoken language in the Philippines next to Tagalog. It is widely spoken on the places from Visayas and Mindanao-the other two main islands of the Philippines. Some words in Bisaya are similar to Tagalog but Bisaya is really a whole different language. If you have knowledge with tagalog already, then it is easy for you to learn Bisaya
