With all the flooding that Japan has endured . Cleaning these water ways is a great idea . I am sure the first heavy rain will remove any and all debris left in the canal . May God look after all of us .

浅くなった水深？が土を除く事で深くなるから、凄い重要な仕事だと思います。
作業しやすくするために川底の砂を取り除く前に草刈り、という発想はありませんでした。あと掘るのは川底だけだと思っていましたが、岸の間知ブロックの箇所にも意外とたくさん溜まっていて驚きました。

A wood chipper would be better than just putting inside the dump truck, it'll hold more that way.
