Y should I convert vhs to DVDs or blue Ray's Specially I can go back online bay more new vcrs plus vhs movies Specially vhs never will lock up like my blue Ray's and my internet dose specially every time blue Ray's gets somthing on disc when you clean it It scratchs the blue Ray disc plus it starts locking up again now y should I go something that doesn't work better then my tapes yet my vhs still don't never will lock up
Someone help me my parents wedding vhs is almost 25 years old and it still works perfectly but we don’t have a vcr.. if anyone can help that would be great
I have VHS tapes recorded 30 years ago that play back perfectly. and I have DVD's that I recorded 8 years ago. Many of the DVD's I transferred fro, VHS onto DVD wont play any more ! I don't think DVD is a good method for archiving tapes, Im afraid. I think recording them to you tube or Hard drive is better.
Making vhs tapes to digital MP4 is the best way. You can use it on everything including your smartphone. DVDs break easy and lets get real who even still has a dvd player anymore....

I just copied several VHS tapes over 30 years old to DVD. Didn’t notice any degradation at all. And they had been stored in a hot garage for the last 15 years.
I would never copy movies from vhs to DVD, vhs is better than DVD, because with vhs if you turn the player off or remove the tape, it saves your place, where if you turn a dvd player of our turn remove the dvd, it will not save your place.
Very poor instructional video.... You failed miserably as to the proper way (step by step) using the VHS/DVD combo machine... If you press the wrong recording button, you will actually erase everything on the VHS tape, so do NOT listen to this bad tutorial.
Let me see if I understood. So, if I have a vhs with a cd combo I can transfer from the VCR to the DVD??

Don't use DVD they are a waste of money
So basically if you have this vhs player your good, while stores scam you out of $25-$50 PER tape.
I do have the equipment to rescue Analogue media at home right now. Time to stop Analogue, once and for all.

Have you tried cleaning the discs or use ISO Buster to recover data from the discs
DVDs suck they can easily get scratched n if they get to scratched up it won't work anymore

Many of mine have degraded, even the "plastic" has broken down. My DVD's tapes (save for a few) are fine.

This is made in 2014, why the heck are you burning it to DVD if you already have a digital file. I was barely using DVD's even back then.

Five years? Is that all? British VHS tapes should have at least a 15 to 30 year lifespan before sad degradation can begin.
