I don't actually follow kiyokushin, but its always cool hearing you guys talk about it, it makes me seek out the tournaments you talk about

Does Russia have a strong WKO presence? Always saw it as Russia being solidly IKO territory and the Baltic states + Poland being WKO. Also from what I remember the IFK in Britain and Central Asia etc let’s IKO guys enter and just doesn’t tell them they’re participating. Especially if you’re not a super well known fighter or a big name, then you can shop around a bit at the non IKO tournaments. I’ve met a few IKO guys in Britain who essentially just don’t tell Honbu they’re fighting elsewhere

Your analysis is spot on. IKO is still the biggest player in Russia tho KWU has picked up a few. I have also seen a lot of IKO Russians fight in unified Russia championships with IFK and others. So you are spot on. Its a very tricky political landscape. Seems to be a "its only a crime if you get caught" mentality in a lot of places!

@@thekyokushinanalyst6846 I know some countries have maybe two IKO dojo at most, so the only way to get experience is to participate in different tournaments…. Interesting that for many politics is why they fight, and for us politics is what stops us from fighting
