Hahahaha, who would argue with logic like that, especially when it is being dispensed by a short fused red head! Id love a little camper like that for fishing trips, its pretty decent once you get it set up. Good vid man :-)
You're incredibly good at walking through the set up of this trailer. And the person filming did a great job. I remember having to setup one of these decades ago and it was quite easy. So many memories coming up just the one you are putting up here. Thanks so much for being so thorough and mentioning the rookie concerns to watch out for.
Thanks for the info, we just bought a 2000 niagra eliet popup. This is my first trailer my husband owned a travel trailer but this is his first popup so this is a new experence for us. Thankyou again Sarah and Dru.
Love your sense of humor! I had one Jayco and one Coleman tent trailer in the 90s that had similar setups with lots of cranking and the same stabilizers. Very solid construction. Excellent video!
The trailer looks 100 percent better with the new suspension! Great job. The pop up looks very clean considering previous owner neglect and age. Hope you enjoy her (the pop up) for many more years
This was exactly what we needed to see. We bought a second-hand trailer and you've helped us know all the things we needed, so we can set up and enjoy! Thank you!
I am not a camper and this reminds me why. I did enjoy the fine detail and reminder about setting up a camper. Spanky is a great addition to your videos. I thought you lived in Utah.
If I wear shorts to keep cool my knees get black and get ingrown hairs. So I cut the backs of the knees out for cool air and sew them on the front so they are cool and double layered where KNEED'D. I get a lot of looks for them, but lucky for me no one teases me or gives me crap. I look like a short fused red head or something?? : )
Me too! They are perfect. Cool like shorts. Double layered in front to protect your knees. It just stinks that They take so long to alter. No one makes them like this in this country.
Here i was looking to find helpful hints on trailer set ups, and I find my favorite mechanic offering his helpful advice on tent trailer setup. Well damn! What don't you do? Thanks again!
Oh it is! I bought it because my daughter has to have a special weighed diet to keep her free of seizures. The camper makes that SO MUCH EASIER! My dad uses a C-pap so same thing when I take him hunting.
Very funny but thorough in explaining things..just needed to talk about the awning and how that sets up. I didn't fall asleep like I did with the other 2 I watched :)
WOW!! What a great video. I'm considering an extended camping trip in Canada next summer. This might be my solution. I feel like even I could get this all set up. Many thanks!!
I thought i recognized your voice from a subaru video. I just got a coleman pop up for the family for Christmas. Good to see you again! Andy from Florida
Thanks so much for posting. We have been on the look out for a tent camper, used of course. But when you buy used you may not, make that probably won't, get all the instructions. Can you maybe go into detail bout how to inspect/ what to look for in a used one? What repairs are really expensive, cheap, common, hidden, etc.
Thanks for showing me this! I am a college student and I currently am off for summer and I want to save up for a pop up aka Tent Trailer! This was very helpful! Thanks alot!
Hey Brian, just wanted to say I love your videos. We have a Colman Niagara Elite that pretty much sets up the same way, just have a king on each end and a shower/bathroom in it. Wife and I have it down pat to where we can have it setup and ready to rock in under 10 minutes, love the thing. Please keep your videos going, not only informative but I love your commentary, makes me watch it to the end.
If you are watching this video and own a Coleman/Fleetwood unit this video has one MAJOR mistake. You never set the stabilizers before you raise the roof on Coleman/Fleetwood units. Roof Up, Jacks down. Jacks up, Roof Down.
Brian - you must have been reading my mind - I've been thinking about buying a used tent trailer! Great video and thanks for all your info. I have to ask about what you're doing in Chicago - Did you move? Weren't you in Colorado at one point? I was born in Chicago but grew up in sunny California. Go Cubs! :)
Just an idea, but maybe a vid on how to install a reese hitch, safe towing. You know, that stuff you probably know so well that you take it for granted. Just throwing it out there.
Thanks Brian for this how-to video. I am selling my 27ft sailboat and have decided to try some land camping for a change and see I have a lot of research to do.Donn
Thanks, i m thinking between a trailer to the same campsite or more moveable tent trailer to go many places...... good video, well explained and funny.
Actually the lifters may not have gotten enough lubrication. On my 1986 starcraft nova 24 the lifters were seized up. That stops the lifter brake and will cause the roof to fall down when you let go of the crank. Hope this was helpful. -cheers mitch
Great video!! Technically, on Coleman pups, the roof should be cranked up before putting the stabilizers down. The stabilizers should also never be used to level the camper. They are not designed to hold the weight of the camper, only to stop some of the camper movement.
if you don't use jacks what does get used for leveling been years since I had a camper but am going back to one. thanks for your video helped a lot and saved me a lot of aggravation that I had with my other one. good job
i just got a 2000- coleman sadona ,,12tt ,,,i got a B.A,L trailer leveler ,fit under a wheel ..lift trailer with a ratchet till level ,,level tounge with ball hitch jack ,when all is plum lower stabilizers just snug .....perfect ,,best thing i ever got ..check em out ...i am new ,had my pup just a week ,but i done a ton of research before buying ,and its beutifull coleman sedona 12ft by 7 ft folds out to 23 ft ,,,i am 70 ,,and its my first pup ever ...i love it ,cant wait till spring

Hey Brian, good vid... Just a lil comment though, the little plastic hooks that you said to just clip on the roof latches or a screw or something... There's a plastic thing under da bed and that's where that one goes, it looks like a hook. You might have already figured that out. I have a Sedona and I still like looking at these vids because I sometimes learn something new. P.S. I always put my cranking and lug/jack tool away after I popped it up, 2 reasons- 1. never misplaced or lost 2. kids or dumb adults messing around taking/stealing them. Again great vid!!
Hey brian i know this a old vid but wanted know how much this trailers weighs, and is it possible for to put this trailer on its side for storage purposes ..... Does it have a study side to it or will it crush if u put on its side
Hahahaha, who would argue with logic like that, especially when it is being dispensed by a short fused red head! Id love a little camper like that for fishing trips, its pretty decent once you get it set up. Good vid man :-)
Dont understand how any of your videos could have dislikes, your videos are full of great info and I myself enjoy watching them

Agreed. Excellent camera work. Someone's got skills back there!
Thanks for the info, we just bought a 2000 niagra eliet popup. This is my first trailer my husband owned a travel trailer but this is his first popup so this is a new experence for us. Thankyou again Sarah and Dru.
Thanks for the safety information at the end. Those are things that are NEVER covered in other videos. Pretty important stuff!

Good instructions. I rarely get a chuckle out of how -to videos but you, Brian, made me chuckle a couple of times.
Thanks for your time and effort.
+B-RYE H You're welcome! Thanks for subscribing and hitting the like button!

I didn't detect any short fuses.... Stereotype?
Me too! They are perfect. Cool like shorts. Double layered in front to protect your knees. It just stinks that They take so long to alter. No one makes them like this in this country.
We have watched tons of videos being noobs to pop ups and we have to say not only was it very informative but your frekkin hilarious! Great job!
Here i was looking to find helpful hints on trailer set ups, and I find my favorite mechanic offering his helpful advice on tent trailer setup. Well damn! What don't you do? Thanks again!
You're welcome- thank Spanky. She filmed/edited/posted it.

Great video. I think I've changed my mind about buying one. They are as much work as setting up a camper!!
That's the trade-off for being easy to tow and easy to store in a garage.
WOW!! What a great video. I'm considering an extended camping trip in Canada next summer. This might be my solution. I feel like even I could get this all set up. Many thanks!!
Brian (and Sparky) you are the best!
I thought i recognized your voice from a subaru video. I just got a coleman pop up for the family for Christmas. Good to see you again! Andy from Florida
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
Great video. Thank you for all of the setup instructions and safety instructions. You just made my decision to purchase a tent trailer easier
Excellent video. I didn't realise they were so comfortable, and easy to put up ( when you now how!).
If I'll go on a trip, I'll want to take you with me, your amazing, thanks , I've learned a lot.

It's great for some of the 4X4 adventures I take.
Yes. And a fridge, water heater, outdoor shower. It's kind of overkill if you ask me.
Thanks , best vid I've seen yet. Just bought my first tent camper, an 03 Coleman Niagra elite, very similar to yours.
Wore out a lot of jeans in my day, never wore a pair out behind the knees though..
John Hoyle 😆 right
Bruh! All my days on earth, never saw this style before🤣
Thank you very much! You're most kind!
Nice video. Reminds me of when I was a kid in a Coleman pop up. Its nice to see some new (to me) camper features (easy exit)
Thanks for showing me this! I am a college student and I currently am off for summer and I want to save up for a pop up aka Tent Trailer! This was very helpful! Thanks alot!

Well I did enjoy the trailer, trailer video !! Have you ever been camping up in Canada ?
Great video! This was a great help as I am still learning to put up my trailer, hopefully by myself!!! Thanks!

Thanks. We call it "feeding the mosquitos!" Yes of course I have. : )

Thanks! Was thinking of getting a trailer myself and this is a great learning video.
Great video!!

Did you redo the ABS top? If so, do you recommend removing old cracked ABS and coating with bed liner materials?
Very nice video, helpful and to the point, with personal touch. good job
