Like, reminiscing about the past and how Quakity just wants it to go back to the past, And at the end it still looks like he is leaning on the chair but the atmosphere is darker and gives off more of an ominous, cold feeling as if the fire had gone and nobody lived there for a while, like Quackity is at that house and next to the chair but in the darker atmosphere, in the reality. And this is like all a flashback for comfort. And Quackity is covered in blood in the last scene- which I can’t explain with this theory. I don’t think I felt so much emotion in a span of a minute ever in my life before now. I can ~sense~ the warmth of that fireplace, and the way quackity slowly inches closer soaking wet- just the sequence of him looking at bad (with some kind of longing) to standing by the chair and then laying his head almost on bads lap exudes so much tenderness it’s ridiculous. there is something HEAVY in his gaze as he looks into the fireplace and it is HURTING ME. Also bad not moving an inch throughout the whole thing?? End me. The song just makes it a million times better it grips your heart, how ‘low quality’ the voice sounds along with the cracking of the fire, the atmosphere is immaculate. Literally not fair that you broke my heart with something so simplistic but so well done ily

Theory on why Quackity has blood on his face: I think Quackity is all just imagining this scene with Bad and Rat/Lucy. But why does it look like he killed someone? Well, when Quackity attempted to blow up the egg, and was being interrogated by Bad and Punz, Lucy began barking interrupting their lore, thankfully though, Bad and Quackity managed to ignore it and continue the lore. However, that didn’t stop fans from imagining Rat in that scenario as if she was interrogating Quackity along with Bad. It makes sense though since Bad once made Rat a canonical character in the SMP when she interacted with his keyboard on the SMP. What if, when Quackity blew up the Egg, he witnessed Rat being killed in the explosion and that’s her blood on him? And the reason why he went to that house where he imagined a memory with Bad and Rat, is because he felt sorry for Rat, knowing that Bad won’t be able to forgive Quackity for, not just the Egg explosion, but Rat’s canonical death.

bruhhhh angst in egg lore doesn't get enough appreciation -- I think because not as many people were watching the smaller streamers on the dsmp back when a lot of the egg stuff was first developing, and those vods aren't up anymore so it's harder for people to catch up on the backstory of the characters' relationships. I adore the colors in this btw
Big Q does care for Bad even tho they are not a couple or anything he..still cared, Bad was the only one who cared; about Quackity during his wiggly times in his life, the one who gave him advice to keep living,and thriving in that cruel world they call "home".
this is a god tier animatic dude this needs more attention, the attention to detail and the atmosphere just makes this feel so vivid and perfect and the implications aren’t hard to pick up on but it still is ominous and mysterious at the same time??? it leaves you with a lot of questions and it sort of makes you theorize about this small animatic as well. the art is great and the choice of music is excellent, love to see work like this from you weiqi.
OKK so, realize how bad didn't react to Q being there. that must mean bad isn't actually there, and Q is just came in and sat where he usually sat where him and bad would vibe together or sm, and remembering him being there when he's not. I just want to say this was a very effective animatic. When it can to the song choice *chef's kiss*. Along with the coloring. At first I thought the ending images had different expressions but it's due to the coloring of the scene. I love that and the bittersweet tone is amazing. Overall, Love it mate.
