Thankyou so much medicosis this is really very very helpful ... Sometimes i feel if u had taught it in my language too then it would have been very great but then also ur english i understand and find lectures very useful😊😊 from india..
Also cortisol is dose dependent when it comes to activation or inhibition of a particular gene. That's why high dose causes immune suppression (in cases of prolonged stress, for example) and at low doses causes immune enhancement. Similar to TATA box there are GC islands that participate in gene expression (although i can't recall by which mechanism)
This is video #40 in the Biochem set… the rest of the videos (from ‘biological membranes’ forward) on the playlist appear to require a $60+ per month subscription. Is that right? If so, can people just purchase the video package rather than the subscription? If a student were to pay for the subscription, can they download the content they need? Or do they only have access as long as they keep paying the subscription? Just trying to figure out how this works as a potential student resource!

this is the first video you have ever posted that I didnt fully understand :( I @7:04 when that table got pulled out. It was the first time I got exposed to enhancers and I dont fully understand the table that you created. The Response elements are under the enhancers tab but then they are talked about as if they should have their own tab. and at the end of the table, there was a section where it says promotors vs enhancers and it says in that little section that promotors are supposed to be very close to the start of the gene and enhancers are as far as 1000 bp but then the top table says that enhancers are cis regulators and that they are very close tot he gene that they regulate and that trans regulators are farther away than the genes that they regulate but promotors are at the top of the trans regulator side. I am very confused
yea I think Mr. Medicosis didn't fully understand this subject. seems like he's just posting content for the clicks now. I can promise you that you're not the only one who feels that way about this video. there's really nothing about this video that makes this subject more understandable. conversely to what this video states, it is actually true that enhancers are trans regulators and transcription factors are cis regulators. Medicosis, if you're reading this, please stop posting 'teaching videos' on information that you're not capable of teaching/don't understand. instead, please produce videos that simplifies science content instead of making it harder to understand. use multiple resources if you need to. thanks.

This guy is funny and interesting 😭😭
Thank you!
