Will tempt her with the promise of putting a REAL SUITCASE in the trunk!
Awesome video because my alternator is out and even though it is a new battery it won't release the trunk latches and I can't access my jump box, or ratchet set to use my ratchet to release the idler pulley on the serpentine belt so Thank for this video! Now if I can figure out how to take the wheel off😢
Thanks so much! My buttresses are fine, but after washing the car, the trunk relooks immediately when I try to open it. Of course, this only happens the day before Father’s Day when my husband’s gift is in the trunk! Now he gets to really work at opening his present! 😂😂
3 days ago I received my 2009 solstice from the US. I have seen your video how to open the top and did all the way and worked fine. But, there is one problem ad that is the trunk is not completely closing and showing trunk a jar. It’s not closing well. What to do? I don’t want to hurt the trunk or damage it. My solstice is almost new and done only 5300 miles only. Please advice me in my personal email. Regards. Khalid
My buttresses are already up but my trunk still won't open. I even pulled the manual cord behind the driver tire and it still won't open. Any suggestions
Just curious- if someone was trapped in the trunk- shouldn't the manual pull cord also release the buttresses? Otherwise what is the point of having one in there..... Make you hate your life more in that situation haha. Not actually funny but just popped into my mind while watching. Good video either way.
The same tool should help in this case, temporarily, but it sounds like the issue lies in either the emergency release cable, or the main release cable not springing back after disengagement.

Unlatch top inside then hit button till opens worked for me push top back a little helps too.

what will cause the release button in the glovebox not to work. It seems like it's stuck pushed in
My situation is opposite---I cannot get the cables to engage and lock the buttresses. what is that?
