    Consider going to a sign shop. They can vinyl wrap the wood for a super sleek smooth surface.

    • @Plenityd
      @Plenityd ปีที่แล้ว

      Or just make this in MDF instead, and you have a smooth finish from start :)

    • @hardkore360
      @hardkore360 ปีที่แล้ว

      OR vinyl wrap it yourself, its really not that hard just practice on doing corners on scrap pieces. Once you get the process down you can wrap them like a pro.

  • @raulchavez5025
    @raulchavez5025 ปีที่แล้ว

    It looks good but the texture of the top of the wood looks rough.. perhaps try to put a few layers of Fiber Glass and sand smooth and then spray paint with high gloss white. Also perhaps use frosted plexy glass to cover the ends… the glow of the light would look good

      If I had more time I totally would, but we're in peak wedding season, so I'm super busy. Feel kinda bad that I haven't had time to upload new videos. I've got sooo much content that there will be a huge video dump after wedding season.

    Where can I get these measurements? I need to create one for my Rane Four!!!

  • @djjohnnyp5380
    @djjohnnyp5380 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Total weight ? Somehow landed here looking for my rev 7 coffin lol

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't weighed it, but it's got to be close to 70lbs with the wood. I did a venue a couple weeks ago that didn't have a ramp and I didn't feel like taking it apart, so I carried it up a short flight of stairs by myself. I don't recommend that, but in case of an emergency it's good to know I can if I needed to. 2 people can carry it no problem if you don't feel like breaking it down.

    Yo C I'd like to know how you set up the truss.

  • @blazinvybes_829
    @blazinvybes_829 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Quick question: why didn't you seal the edges? It's an overall clean setup but you also have the light bleeding out of some edges vs all edges

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like the thin light going all the way around. It was closed on y last build, but I'm still feeling it out at this point. We'll see what changes I make after a couple more gigs.

  • @DJFireboyy

    How do you transport this to the event you are going to play? Impossible to fit this in a car, in my opinion.

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It breaks down into 3 pieces, but I have a trailer that it rolls right into in 1 piece. Check out my other video on the DDJ SX furniture build for more details.

    Great build. where did you get the laptop tray? how did you keep your lid from moving or sliding off?

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Laptop tray is a UBoard. You can find it on Amazon and a lot of other places that sell computer accessories.

  • @chaseflores2145
    @chaseflores2145 ปีที่แล้ว

    OSB is not appropriate at all. Looks good from a distance but up close it looks rough. MDF, wood glue and pocket holes instead of those brackets and you’d be in business.

  • @djajmcneill7194
    @djajmcneill7194 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    how do you mount it to the truss?

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The base plate has two holes in it. I drilled matching 1/4” holes in the bottom of the furniture that line up with the base plate and use two 1/4” bolts, 4 larger washers, and wing nuts to mount it.

  • @soundinsurgent712
    @soundinsurgent712 ปีที่แล้ว

    Definitely would not of used the plywood for the top, other then that it looks good.

  • @djlitedacrowdpleaser2393

    nice how much?

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not for sale, but you can certainly build for about $150-200. I already had the trust though, so factor that into your cost as well.

  • @DjSmoov3TheHomeTownHero
    @DjSmoov3TheHomeTownHero 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question is the top detachable or is it screwed in?

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The top section is is held on but 2 quarter in wing nuts and bolts that go through the furniture and the truss plate. This keeps it snug, takes up the least amount of space inside the furniture yet allows it to be easily detachable for break down if needed.

  • @DjPositiveP
    @DjPositiveP ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How much did you spend on this build?

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I already had the trussing, so maybe $110-$140 including paint, wood, brackets, etc. If you need the trussing it’ll be more, but I never use that trussing anymore so it worked out well.

  • @bakoguy5330
    @bakoguy5330 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What plug is that? Don’t tell me it’s not a Standard three pong?! If not, that isn’t a professional controller. Let me know so I don’t order it

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They had to designed it with an external brick instead of an IEC because of the space constraints due to the bigger jog wheels and the internals of the design. There's not enough space on the back for an IEC plug, but It's not a deal breaker by any means. The controller is very professional, very intuitive, well thought out design, and fun to use.

    • @bakoguy5330
      @bakoguy5330 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ilovedjcdub, at 29” wide I’m sure they could of added the IEC, doesn’t matter how great it is, without an IEC it isn’t professional, it’s like using a PC or Numark products to DJ, no respect for this. Sorry, but not sorry. I mean I’m just one person and I’m not even on social media, but trust me people who know who I am care what I think.

    • @bakoguy5330
      @bakoguy5330 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ilovedjcdub, with that said tho it would be a great product to have at home and not Gig with. Doesn’t matter to me, I have 5 Deejay set ups from CDJs to turntables and I’ve owned a lot of controller even if only for a few weeks for testing.
