@@ftwi1 You're absolutely correct, it is George VI. Bless him, he had many health issues, and his brother's abdication certainly didn't help matters. Reigning through WWII took so much out of him. So glad he was able to meet two of his grandchildren.

Because, unless the entire family dies in a plane crash or sth. horrible like that, it takes quite a while until every single older family member is dead. And by that time, you've usually met a partner, had a child, found a handful of friends to run to... 🙂

I think it's so awesome that we get to see Queen Mary at that we've been able to take movie footage of her and even some of King George v. there's even some with Edward VII I wish they'd been a lot more. and I'll be glad when they can really clean up the footage of the very few minutes of Queen Victoria how fascinating to be able to see footage from that far back in history. Our Future families children grandchildren and great-grandchildren won't even realize how awesome it is that they'll be able to see things that we weren't able to see. Thank you Queen Victoria and Prince Albert starting images of the royal family and even to take pictures and video footage because of their foresight.
