I believe the trigger is to do everything the king asks (so he is still alive) then head to Vicar in Graveyard and speak to him. So it would be in New Game Plus in my guide after you get Royal Aide trophy. I did not buy/trade anything with the Vicar during New Game Plus also. Hope that helps!
Thanks, this guide was quite helpful overall. I would humbly advise others not to rely exclusively on this one, though. Consult Shinyru's guide as well, which I found easier to follow regarding certain sequences, like the King quests. Watch both guides and also look at the official website hints and bestiary, which can help you better track down missing bestiary pages by chapter. Some sections and the order of things outlined in this video didn't align with my chronological game experience; I had to skip around the video to make sure I wasn't missing anything. While spellcasting is OP, if you're playing on the Narrative difficulty, you might as well go with a full melee damage build. Virtually nothing can kill you on Narrative and you'll steamroll everything.. until you get to NG+ and grab book of burdens. That made the game quite challenging.
Alright another question. I'm in NG plus but already in Chapter 4 before I picked up the book of burden. So I missed all the essence from bosses in Chapters 1 through 3. Will I still be able to get 500 essence while missing the bosses from chapters 1 through 3 ? Or do I have to go to NG ++ ?
Wow that's a good question, I'm not 100% sure but what I can say is chapter 4 opens up the accessible map totally so there should be enough variety of standard enemy, mini/end game boss types to achieve the dream essence amount. I remember I was stressing a bit the first time I had to power up the creature, but with a bit of time to explore and patience it worked out. Hope that helps! Oh I wish I could play Withering Rooms again first time as it was so so so good! Especially loved the cheeky Bloodborne references by the dev ☺️ take it easy and have a great day

@@killing5pr3 Thank you! Glad it helped for an amazing game.
"defeat raiding party" at 25:37. How did you get that to trigger? I had some kind of pass and walked into the door with no fights.
Same here?
