Stardust as Champion of the Universe sounds incredible, although it would only happen in the Vince era if the “Universal Championship” by name was a secondary title or lower.
Like Larson said, If Cody never left WWE he realistically would've gotten released due to budget cuts anyway, just much later. And he wouldn't have made as much of a splash post-WWE because the landscape would've been much different. And most of the Elite guys would've ended up in WWE. I don't think TK would've gone through with AEW, or it atleast would've fumbled fast without Cody as the spiritual head.

I don't think bushiroad\stardom could afford both Mercedes & bayley at once. it was reported that just Mercedes was expensive & she was being paid more than anyone on the bushiroad payroll & more than what Jericho was being paid per appearance. On top of bushiroad passed on signing Naomi because of budget reasons.
It was a fun gimmick because Cody put his all into it (even though the gimmick like gave him depression) but it held back someone who had main event potential
Smackdown ratings would be 2.4 and higher and not need a Roman main event to hit that mark. It's obvious Cody isn't a TV draw that's why the Ula Fala is a bigger prize than the Universe title right now.

I don't think All In would have happened without Cody but I think AEW still would have come about somehow.
