The sad reality is that even if Sinatraa is guilty, the legal case won't do anything. The reality is that the hoops you have to jump through to prove sexual misconduct and rape is so high, I lost a rape case, and that was with a positive rape kit done

Date rape, martial rape, domestic rape, are all very real and happen far more than anyone wants to admit. I’ve been following this story since it broke and it makes me ill. No means no means no, and it should be the first thing taught to all students in Health when covering sex ed.
Unfortunately, often domestic rape is considered far more “they said/ they said” than stranger-the-attacker rape, and is often chalked up to, “they should have been a better partner, it’s domestic disturbance at best, be better.” Esports, just like any pro-sports, has a BIG problem. There will be more.
It’s a damn shame. Sexual assault is sexual assault. These women deserve better. I hope they can heal and have healthy relationships in the future.

I had an IUD put in a few years ago, and one time after sex with my fiance I started having a lot of pain. It was like a Sunday night, so I went to the ER because the pain was so bad I was puking, and I was worried about a rupture. Yes, it's rare, but it does happen.
The first provider who saw me was a female resident. She was very sympathetic, wanted to manage my pain and get me an ultrasound. But the attending, who was a man, shut that all down. He came into my room and told me (and I swear to God he said this, I remember it clearly to this day), "My wife has an IUD and she has pain after sex all of the time. It's normal."
So, not only did he dismiss *MY* pain, he did so by just casually telling me that he was torturing his wife with sex.
Many years later, I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and pelvic congestion syndrome - which is basically varicose veins, but on the inside. My surgeon said my pelvic veins were some of the biggest he'd ever seen. I'm pretty sure that any of those could be why I had so much pain after sex (years later I started having severe pain after sex without the IUD, which is what encouraged me to fight to get a diagnosis). And I've heard other women with similar diagnoses say that IUDs were very uncomfortable for them.

    • @ellis20022
      @ellis20022 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

I'm in a psychology of gender class and learned that the US is the only place that inserts IUD's awake or without any numbing at all, and then you're expected to go back to work right after like you just got your teeth cleaned. usually when people are in pain after insertion its either because it was inserted wrong, or they have fibriods, cysts, endo, etc. I feel like you should have ultra sounds or something because especiallly ovarian cysts are super common and a lot of people start birth control to stop period pain...

I have no history with assault, but I can easily see myself end up in a similar relationship. The kind where I don’t feel safe being honest about my feelings, where I’d prioritise ”not making a fuss” over being honest with myself of what is actually going on.
Yes, allegations might be false. As outsiders we don’t have the whole picture, and we never will. But each allegation should be respected, should be taken seriously, because it is so much more likely that a dismissal will forever hurt a victim than an investigation will hurt someone falsely accused.

I know that is the same for a lot of other people as well, where they don't even realize it's happening, or don't want to acknowledge it's happening unless they have to.

This video was pretty dishonest as you left out insanely crucial amount of information. You left out the timing of the documents written by cleoh. The first document came out right before challengers 1 and the second document came out EXACTLY when he came back to playing ranked. Leaving out this context makes everything seem different. There was a motive for these documents to be released at the time they did. She admitted to deleting the second document because she was mad that sinatraa was getting attention which almost devalues the entire document. She added the Trans part in only to defile his name. In addition, one of your comments was mind numbingly stupid. After playing the audio clip from the first document you described “the audio showing clear signs that she wanted to stop.” Idk if you’re a virgin or perhaps have never been in a relationship, but consent is much more complex than that. It is completely disingenuous to say that and ruins the entire video right there. Consent is not as simple as “if the word no is said then its sexual assault.” You can be raped even if you didn’t say No. You can be raped if you said yes. You can have consensual sex even if you say No. You obviously don’t have the knowledge to be covering this topic as you have a 2D idea of what consent is. Lastly, having people narrate the text is complete BS and you know it. You allowed the voice actors to apply their own tone and emotion to text which even further delegitimizes this video. Do better honestly.

was sinatraa a shitty and abusive boyfriend … maybe , but it also seemed like just a really immature relationship overall. i think this video is heavily biased towards cloe and kinda unfair to sinatraa. He didn’t put out evidence and receipts instantly like the other parties involved because of his fear of punishment from the literal 3 organizations, + police/law case, investigating it. Cloe’s receipts aren’t really receipts as much as they are cringe and mean/manipulative texts and an audio clip with no context where she says “no” in what seems like a very unserious or joking tone that could be misinterpreted.

While it can be misunderstood, at the same time there is more than just flight or fight when dealing with a situation. There is also freeze and fawn, either locking up going silent or trying to appease and be sweet in hopes to lower the risk of danger. A lot of people will fawn the person they deem as a threat in hopes to dampen the person's aggression. As you can see in the texts, she clearly kept him "calm" by agreeing and being sweet to him. She may have laughed or been playful while saying no to try to hide her pain and fear from her abuser. This is one of the many things that make it difficult for anyone (not just women) to come out about this kind of abuse and why it's so common.

So, based on this she should have the video herself then right? If not why not turn it over? I don't know about you guys but whenever I send a video it's saved in the text thread and in the original device. So there's a reasonable assumption that she should have had it.
Look, I'm not saying anything he did was ok, it never is. But you have to understand that people who conducting investigations and have the power to fine or imprison people based on allegations, you have to cooperate with them to the best of your ability. If you don't, there's nothing they can do. They are not the mob, they are officers of the law and they have to follow them just as much as we do.
Furthermore, nobody truly thinks that woman are lying about this stuff. If they do then someone they know or care about has never been in that position. Many women have had experiences where they've been taken advantage or horrifically abused, and chances are if they are opening to you about it it's likely true. But, that doesn't mean you have to 100% believe it, you have to have some degree of skepticism. And furthermore, we can not take the law into our own hands and decide who is and is not guilty.
There are certain people who I wish I could hold accountable for actions like this, but I doubt anything good would come from that. I truly hope she is getting therapy for what she's gone through, my wife had to do the same due to what she experienced.

From what I’ve followed from most of all the evidence from the past year, their relationship was highly toxic. We’re so quick to take the victims side, which initially is the correct course of action. That is what I’m thinking for how his ex is wrong. The thing I am saying happens in relationships a lot too. A BF or GF might yell at their significant other and they split up. The Bf/GF that yelled gets together with someone else, and same thing happens again.

I really enjoy watching sinatraa, I wish he was completely innocent but he isnt getting out of this. He treated her like shit, although I can understand why he is upset in many of the messages, I can't imagine myself treating someone like that. He was a public figure, and redirected the stress and emotions onto her. In my mind, he used her for the validation he desperately needed, constantly being under so much scrutiny takes a toll. Cleo has every right to call sinatraa out like this, but I personally don't think this (as it's still w/ out conclusion) "scandal?" is worthy of him being blacklisted from competitive valorant. Maybe I am just upset that one of my favorite players isn't playing, and am convincing myself that he's a better person than he is. I hope he has learned from his past relationship, or else his career if not already will be done.
edit: if he's actually proven guilty I would hope he'd be out. I could've worded it a bit better, but w/ out a clear cut conclusion. It's hard to start treating someone as guilty when he very well could be innocent. it's undisputable that he's guilty of being a shitty ass boyfriend who manipulated his girl. But there's still reasonable doubt.

    • @areldo

how dare you call this a "scandal". he raped his girlfriend. she tells him sex is painful because of her IUD, yet he continues to do it anyway. he pressured her into sex so many times. Please do not continue to support this monster. he has no respect for women or boundaries. you do realize if this could be proven he would go to prison? this is a serious matter. he deserves to have no career after this. there are many other players worth supporting.

If she has evidence then she should present it legally and a technical team can quickly verify the veracity of the evidence she could provide. It's a strange situation, because she's clearly not afraid to speak up... she already did, but she did it in a way that the veracity cannot be verified. The evidence should have been presented legally or at least now that she is clearly no longer afraid. I say that she clearly is not afraid because basically she ALREADY TALKED AND TOLD HER ENTIRE STORY about her, even publishing audios (out of context), so I don't understand why she doesn't present that evidence correctly in the appropriate place. Can anyone imagine that a game company can do a better investigation than the special teams that official justice has? Sinatraa must not prove her innocence...justice must prove him guilty. She should simply bring her evidence (which she already used to create content) to justice with an official accusation.
I personally think that the chats show a toxic relationship between two very young people... I would almost go so far as to say that this is a teen drama on which many current series on different streaming platforms are based.
So far the only concrete thing is a person who believes they have been the victim of an abusive relationship (I think it was a toxic relationship) and who supposedly has evidence to prove it but inexplicably has not done so yet... the method for expose evidence that does not prove anything on social networks, when in reality they should be presented in court.
Perhaps this evidence is not presented in court because its veracity cannot be verified? Perhaps neither of them wants to expose the bad treatment they had mutually?
I repeat, at the moment nothing published seems to be conclusive or real proof... chats out of context where even she would look bad if it wasn't for her explaining "the" context.
I don't care if he is the professional player of a game, and I don't think justice would care about he is a pro-player if the alleged victim provide the evidence that she claims to have in her possession.
Either way I feel sorry for both of them... I feel sorry for him because he shows that he was a guy who mishandled a toxic relationship. She makes me feel sorry for the supposed lack of character in that relationship (it could have been in any other relationship too) where apparently she didn't have what she wanted or she wasn't happy. In both cases, each one is responsible for how they handle that toxic relationship, and they should not blame the other party for not making the decisions they should have made according to their stories.
There is nothing published so far that is enough to accuse him of such serious charges as abuse and rape.
I think the world is crazy, and the fault lies with all the crazy people who play on social networks with issues that should be treated seriously in the corresponding areas.
We are all innocent until proven otherwise.

I keep wondering how are people watching sinatraa on twtich, why is he in all these valorant clip compilations? Then I realize reading some of these comments, they are kids, who have never had people in thier life that experience this. People who go through what cleoh went through often attempt suicide, are depressed, or have serious mental illness following the situation through thier entire life. What we know what is true is that he was a manipulator in the relationship and pressured her to have sex frequently. Thats enough for most people, he has even slightly admitted to it, yet people act like nothing happened? Just confusing to me.
