Wow man.....that is one awesome looking rig for sure! Looking at the pics in the forums don't do them justice. These videos just show so much more. Incredible build Shane!
Hi Shane nice setup. I have just ventured into setting up 5.1 surround sound for my Rig with my Tannoy SFX 5.1 speakers and a Sony AV Receiver. my question is i have the AV Receiver getting the audio signal from the PC via an optical cable but have discovered that the max i can get atm is 2 channels ,and am told to get around this i need a sound card that supports dolby digital live ( the likes of the soundblaster Z card ) how do you have your PC sending the sound to the AV receiver to get the true surround sound.
sweet rig man! I have seen lots but this is by far one of the coolest. I imagine you put in lots of time and money in to this! I respect that you did that! You must have a serious passion for racing rigs. Great Job!!!!
+Connor Mcpherson HAHA consoles. The only thing that would work with a console is the wheel itself and the pedals and ONE of the screens. I suppose the butt Kicker would also work because of the way it works. So no consoles could actually utilize this rig.
this is an AWESOME rig, but one question i have in mind while looking at this is, why the screen are so far away ?? wouldn't it be better if they were closer?
You should have a look at the thread in the iracing forums about fov ect. You are doing everything wrong you could do. No offend bro but that does not feel any real and does not help the immersion. I am pretty sure a correct setup would even help you go faster.
Shane Parish You should do a build log of what you are using on your new set up and do another review video. Or a tutorial of how you made gauges work together. I really enjoyed this one. Subscribed!
Really spectacular rig. One of the best looking I've ever seen. One small suggestion: If you ever decide you want to upgrade the lighting, take a look at CCFLs. They'll give you a much more even light than LEDs. Only real caveat is that they're rigid, but I don't think that would be an issue with your set up.
Nice setup, crazy clean install. I personally couldn't play with the monitors there though. The FOV would be way off, as others have already said though. Super nice looking, if you get those monitors closer id say its the nicest functional rig I've seen! I'm doing a lot of stuff to mine right now but I'll be happy with just my tablet running dash meter pro. The last item I remaining to be replaced is my Logitech g27, but I'm not doing so until I can do a DIY Direct drive.
Nice one I didn't realise that you have since moved your monitors closer to achieve the 175 fov. It's great isnt it. I have 3 x 27" monitors it is great being able to look over your shoulder at the car beside you. (Edge of outside monitors in line with your head). I have a siminstruments dash as well built into my sparco p310 wheel. Very versatile dash.
nice setup shane . i remouve my 3 screen setup for oculus rift dk2 and is just mind blowing for me .i ave race gt3 whit you in the pass year. tanks for your setup video .
Very Nice Rig. I've got mine kinda/sorta like yours. I'm still in the building phase of mine yet. My fans are all hidden and I use a flexible tubing to direct the air to where I want it to be. I use Z1 also it is a really Great software. I've got the Fanatec V2 wheel and some extra steering wheels for it. I also use the Fanatec V1 Pedals and I Really like them, A lot. Anyway I enjoyed your video, Thanks.....................=)
Shane, verrrrrrrrrrrry nice and so professionally designed and fabricated. Absolutely beautiful. Any thoughts to adding 2/3 or more DOF actuators? Love to know more about the PC you used as I have a dual use application. Simracing of course which requires high speed & high resolution graphics, and a virtual pipe organ program which requires multi-channel (> 10) high quality audio but very little in graphics, lots of RAM 32 gig minimal 64 optimal. Obviously not running simultaneously!
Wow! Kickass looking rig there man! Mine isn't even close to this ( yet ) but I can definitely see where the sickness ( as in a good sickness! ) comes from. Very nice setup!
It is addicting!!!! I have redone most of the rig and the next one is going to totally blow this one away!!! It blows my mind when I look at it and it is not complete yet lol.
I'd prefer the screens closer but that subjective. The setup is crazy, though. You must have spent big bucks for it and I bet it's a joy to drive in there. Perhaps too many distracting gadgets for my taste, but kind of cool at the same time. I know people that add all sorts of software gadgets on their screen and this would save them. The side cushions thing is just brilliant! I always rest my right leg on the side when I drive. Overall, great rig, a little bit too many gadgets for my liking, but there's great quality and thought put into it. Jealous :)
All you people passing comment on having too many screens and being over kill. At the end of the day it's his. He enjoys it and that's all that matters. Jealousy comes to mind with you people because if you had the dollars to do the same you'd all do it in a heart beat.
Thanks for your comments and you exactly right with your comments. I put this rig on here to give people enjoyment and ideas for their rig. I had no intensions of making anyone jealous with my setup. I have been working very hard on my new rig which is out of this world. I hope to have it up soon but waiting on a couple of manufacturers to release their products. The new rig will have new unseen never done before items on it created and developed by myself. I can't wait to share it with the world as some of the items have never done before and definitely have not been thought of or done before in the entire world. Keep posted as I hope to have the new rig out in the next few months and this new rig will help many people develop a better strategy for there rig at home. Thanks again
Really enjoyed seeing someone take the time and money to build and personally create a simulator such as... Im very impressed guy. total thumbs up for you. get some nice angles of you actually playing some racin sims!
So this is what the guy/rig always passing my but looks like.....no wonder ! Seriously, i can finally stop looking on youtube for the "Best" racing sim. Congrats You Win! Great job Shane
Nice man! I tried installing a phone for shift light and tablet for other info and I found it too much trying to look at all of this info while driving, instead I just mapped black box buttons to a button box and look at this info on screen. Does it distract you while racing having all of this info, lights, multiple shift/rev gauges etc? I get annoyed with the lit up button on the DSD Raceking button box!! haha
That is some cool gear you have there! But do you really need 6 rev indicators? :) Seams like a lot of redudancy there. Nice setup with the fans and the knee pads!
Awesome setup, I am jealous of it for sure, only thing i think I would change for ME, is too many instruments I would get to distracted and look away from teh track and end up running into something. :) Loves the blue lights as well, hope you dont change the color of the lights fro Christmas or other holidays :)
Ok thanks and do you recommend any steering wheel as I want to get the thrust master gearbox (Audi r8) and not sure on steering wheel and is there any good games to use this with
Hi Shane, I have a VESARO Hydraulic Racing Simulator set up in my home for iRacing. I installed it a year ago and its been a blast. However, I did not use ir over the summer and fall moths and when i recently booted it up, theres a number of issues that need to be addressed. Is there any tech support people you know I could call for assistance? Thanks
Have you considered placing the monitors much closer? I would get rid of at least a couple of the gadgets that you put around you and get the main monitor just behind the wheel.
This is just awesome. Would you consider making a way to lower the brightnes of all the LEDs while racing so you can see your gauges a bit better? Other than that, its perfect.
I have a rig but I built it myself it's not anything special because I didn't know where to go to buy all the stuff for it but I want to know how much this stuff costed and where you got it at
Currently, I only have the Logitech MOMO and the Thrustmaster TH8RS shifter, but one day I will get a professional sim racing rig just like yours. Your rig is so cool!!! I wonder how much money you spent for the whole thing...
I have a ps1 with F1 98, a wheel and pedals from a charity shop (the wheel sits on a cupboard door I balance on my lap) and an open can of petrol next to my face...now that's immersion.
How do you connect all of that to your PC? I have a single monitor, a keyboard, mouse, wheel & petals, a mic, a phone charger, and a headset connected my my PC and my entire back panel is taken up.
The guy I follow is excellent, has one monitor g27 and a staples office chair with wheels off lol. Kudos tho for your commitment to your hobby, nowt wrong in spending on what you love if you have the money.
damn...the fact that everything is fully functional and not just aesthetics amazes me. nicely done
Especially the fan leds haha
Shane, that rig is amazing. Stumbled across the video, and was floored. Great job!
All this for turning left?
+Tuvia Your comment shows your ignorance.
+LMerchant01 Your comment shows your cognitive dissonance dude.
lol
lololol
and another left turn!!!
I'm not gonna lie here, this is the best rig I've seen so far.
Wow man.....that is one awesome looking rig for sure! Looking at the pics in the forums don't do them justice. These videos just show so much more. Incredible build Shane!
very nice rig..love the lights. one of the best ones I have seen.
Thanks
EASILY one of the sickest things I've ever seen. A true thing of beauty.
Awesome setup man, this is just about the same cool blue theme i was thinkin of. Thanks for sharing your setup. It's inspiring.
One of the most impressive rigs I've ever seen. Nice!!
That's a sick rig! Very nice. Thanks for posting the video.
Awesome setup!! Well thought out and put together...very jelly!! :)
Hi Shane nice setup.
I have just ventured into setting up 5.1 surround sound for my Rig with my Tannoy SFX 5.1 speakers and a Sony AV Receiver.

how do you have your PC sending the sound to the AV receiver to get the true surround sound.
joedeath332 I am using the soundblaster zxr cards and I must say it is a totally bad azz setup.
sweet rig man! I have seen lots but this is by far one of the coolest. I imagine you put in lots of time and money in to this! I respect that you did that! You must have a serious passion for racing rigs. Great Job!!!!
Very nice racing simulator!
I really like the fans!
Once you sit down, you will never want to get up!
To me it looks like the monitors are too far forward.
+George Johnson That and the angles are wrong
+George Johnson Changed it
+Shane Parish how much in total did all that cost? i might want one
+Shane Parish also what consoles does it work with
+Connor Mcpherson HAHA consoles. The only thing that would work with a console is the wheel itself and the pedals and ONE of the screens. I suppose the butt Kicker would also work because of the way it works.
So no consoles could actually utilize this rig.
That is awesome. Makes my steering wheel screwed to my desk, look lame. I kept waiting for him to yell, "Mom, I'm busy!!!"
I like the fans in the back, They are a really nice touch.
this is an AWESOME rig, but one question i have in mind while looking at this is, why the screen are so far away ??
wouldn't it be better if they were closer?
great rig but the distance of the montitors is too much. also the angle of the side monitors is very strange, specially when sitting that far away.
MediaLiveHD This is how I like my monitors.
You should have a look at the thread in the iracing forums about fov ect. You are doing everything wrong you could do. No offend bro but that does not feel any real and does not help the immersion. I am pretty sure a correct setup would even help you go faster.
MediaLiveHD I am working on a totally new rig with many new items never seen or done before and I am going to try new angles as well.
Shane Parish You should do a build log of what you are using on your new set up and do another review video. Or a tutorial of how you made gauges work together. I really enjoyed this one. Subscribed!
Shane Parish please do updates !! I love your rig man ! I would like to see you in the process; this would help me do my rig aswell :)
Good Luck
Dude that is a sweet Rig! Very nice.
+Jose Manriquez Thhanks
Really impressive, some great ideas too! Made me rethink my whole sled, now to start saving money!
+TOBOR I tried them but they were to big.
Looks like little addiction ;) Great setup, congrats!

That's one hell of a setup you've got there. Looks real nice.
Cool rig!
You've even more dashboards than many people have in their race car.
Best rig I have ever seen. SO MUCH WANT!!!
+BlaZe iT Then you haven´t seen much ;) And he has to much displays, which show the same data.
CF88DRUM I can see what you mean.
I have not said, that you need more screens. I just said that there are a lot better rigs.
Shane, verrrrrrrrrrrry nice and so professionally designed and fabricated. Absolutely beautiful.
Any thoughts to adding 2/3 or more DOF actuators?

WOW..absolutely love the set up... way to go, best I've seen...if you're going do something why half do it, I'm not mad at you outstanding!!!!
Thanks a lot
Did you put in LED color lights into the fans or did they come that way... ?
How did you come up with that monitor angle at that distance??? Cool rig though.
What desk is that? Volair?
great job man! excellent work!
Nice rig! I like the blue lights.
Tyler Gallagher Thanks
Really nice rig man!
Myself I have the obutto r3volution with triple screen.
It's a nice hobby but can get expensive lol.
Cheers
Like it, much better than my own, even tho I built a nice PVC rig. I have the same fans and alarm clock on my rig!!!! (exact same)
I'd prefer the screens closer but that subjective. The setup is crazy, though. You must have spent big bucks for it and I bet it's a joy to drive in there. Overall, great rig, a little bit too many gadgets for my liking, but there's great quality and thought put into it. Jealous :)
mix of a passion and a craftsman
i feel like all the gauges are a bit overkill considering they all give you the same info
In race rooms you get different information on all screens!
Well done! Looks really cool.
This is absolutely amazing!!!!
nice rig i can only dream. so many lights i would be dazzled haha. But like I said very nice rig.
All you people passing comment on having too many screens and being over kill. At the end of the day it's his. He enjoys it and that's all that matters. Jealousy comes to mind with you people because if you had the dollars to do the same you'd all do it in a heart beat.

I have to agree with the overkill. Multiple dash with the same info is pointless. However... I Want It. LOL
We're all just jealous
I would do this if I could. 👍
Really enjoyed seeing someone take the time and money to build and personally create a simulator such as... Im very impressed guy. total thumbs up for you. get some nice angles of you actually playing some racin sims!
So, what brand fire suit do you wear and who painted your helmet?
How do you feel about having hdtvs rather than monitors affected your experience in regards of smoothness and/or reaction matching?
This is AWESOME! You must have a great time racing!
Yes I have a great time and thanks for your comments!
No problem! If you ever get bored with it, you can just mail it off to me! Lol
around how much did this whole operation cost????
I never saw such cool racing rig.......i got to say u r a pro
When you have a passion for something, you go all out. I would do the same if I could afford it. Nice rig 👍
Wow. That is awesome! You will save so much money when the rift is officially released lol
I have subs in my seat, you really feel the engine and the bumps.
Sweet rig!
How did you get that fan setup to work? Thanks!
So this is what the guy/rig always passing my but looks like.....no wonder !
Seriously, i can finally stop looking on youtube for the "Best" racing sim. Congrats You Win! Great job Shane
Thanks as I am sure there are other rigs that are as nice and better than mine.
holy shit man, thats nice. whats the reason for the extreme angle of those surround monitors????
Gotta love the analog gauges! :)
why do you need 1 analog tacometer, 1 digital one and one in an i pad runing at the same time and what did this build cost you?
Cool looking sim rig!
Nice man! I tried installing a phone for shift light and tablet for other info and I found it too much trying to look at all of this info while driving, instead I just mapped black box buttons to a button box and look at this info on screen. OMG I love your sim rig as I’m on my way on doing my up
Awesome setup, I am jealous of it for sure, only thing i think I would change for ME, is too many instruments I would get to distracted and look away from teh track and end up running into something. :) Loves the blue lights as well, hope you dont change the color of the lights fro Christmas or other holidays :)
Dude this setup is so sick! I wish I could afford to have a setup like this man
Damn... is it actually necessary to buy a separate receiver to have proper surround sound??? I've tried everything and still don't get it...
holy shit man that setup is freaking amazing
Hi nice setup do you have any tips for so one starting one begin items
Ok thanks and do you recommend any steering wheel as I want to get the thrust master gearbox (Audi r8) and not sure on steering wheel and is there any good games to use this with

I never Thought LED's... Great Job!
Thats awesome!
nice setup, neat too. :)
Sweat set up! Now you need a video of you racing on this setup
Awesome rig bro!
+Anonymous 101 Thanks
What do you use the other 4 tachometers for?
where did you bought this cool shift light? and i gotta say your now rig in your new video looks amazing!!!
What kind of cable do you use to connect all 3 monitors to run like that ?
You use a video card with 3-4 outputs then 1 cable per tv
Have you considered placing the monitors much closer? I would get rid of at least a couple of the gadgets that you put around you and get the main monitor just behind the wheel.
WOW! I didn't even know all of this existed. Shit...Thanks! My son will love it!
At 2:27 that's a good shot of the time circuits. I'd like to see how you hook that up to the flux capacitor.
Very nice rig!
where are the cup-holders?
+George Kofman
You can see a cup holder off to the right as he shows the gear stick and fan.
is there a dedicated screen to show the shoe sizes of the other competitors? if no you have to put a tablet for that somewhere too :D
Great setup, but are you sure when to shift? I think you need a shift light.
+ShinobIHunteR666 You need a glasses, there are two shift light in this rig.
+Gawron339 You need a sense of humor. That was the joke, there is like 5 different indicators when to shift.
ShinobIHunteR666 Hahahaha good one,didnt get it :D
+ShinobIHunteR666 He needs another tach for that
he got one hell of a shift light now in his 2015 setup
really nice. one day i will have one like that. great stuff mate. congratz
Crazy and passion. Super !
This is just awesome. Would you consider making a way to lower the brightnes of all the LEDs while racing so you can see your gauges a bit better? Other than that, its perfect.
The lights are only really bright in the video but in person they are perfect. Thanks
I have a rig but I built it myself it's not anything special because I didn't know where to go to buy all the stuff for it but I want to know how much this stuff costed and where you got it at
super rig m8, congrats
the only thing i dont like its the far distance your monitors are...did you ever tryed move them close? cheers?
I am far sighted and that angle works great for me. Thanks
that's an incredible rig.
Currently, I only have the Logitech MOMO and the Thrustmaster TH8RS shifter, but one day I will get a professional sim racing rig just like yours. Your rig is so cool!!! I wonder how much money you spent for the whole thing...
Man that setup is legit!! Im so Jelly!
That's nice... How long did it take to set up like that?
I have a ps1 with F1 98, a wheel and pedals from a charity shop (the wheel sits on a cupboard door I balance on my lap) and an open can of petrol next to my face...now that's immersion.
+Prophet Ascending Its whatever a person likes. You should try iRacing its a blast
Wow... its very cool...!
U R SICCCCCK :D
I LIKE THE PART OF FAN& BLUE LED
KEEP IT UPPPPPP
