I don’t know if it’s said quite enough but the audio production on these videos has been off the charts lately. As someone who regularly records and mixes drum, you guys do such an amazing job. These recordings are up there with some of the best drum sounds I’m hearing right now anywhere.
Tama kits are perfect. Their professional line is just class. No over hyped marketing or pretentious pricing. Its worth every $1 knowing how its made from scratch in Japan. Im also thrilled Bubinga kits can be exported again.
Totally, but don't sleep on the Chinese made Tama Starclassic kits (also very much at home in Tama's pro line). Talk about "no pretentious pricing", they are the absolute benchmark for relatively inexpensive but genuinely high end kits, and won't (or at least shouldn't) get any side eye, even sitting right next to that Star Bubinga kit
Possibly the best looking and sounding kit I’ve ever heard and seen. Tama star drums are just the pinnacle of modern drum making from their kits to snares to hardware, it’s all the top of the top best products and gear and innovations out there.
I’m almost speechless...........40 years of drumming and........seriously.......they’re the best sounding drums......I ever heard. Lord.......have mercy on me....... I’m gonna need that snare. I was running on the treadmill when this video came on and...........I stopped......and sat down when I heard that beautiful....rumble .......but yet delicate sound.🤤
We bought my son a child sized 5 piece Trak all rosewood drum set back in 1987 and it had beautiful sound! I loved playing it too! I sold it for him in 1990’s and instantly and even now regretted that decision!!
Man! You jumped the fence with these ones. One can start playing drums at a remarkable level with these. Thumbs up Tama. I would love to be as rich and as good to deserve this drum set.
I was never a fan of DW but I like the PDP concept Maple line for under $1,000! I always thought to myself why would I spend that much money when I can spend under $1,000 and get a killer Tama or Yamaha, or even Gretsch!
Why would anyone ever pay this much money for drums that sound like that? If you want warmth, you should switch to DW. Then you will know what drums are supposed to sound like
Just wanted to say thank you. I am so glad I grabbed one of these kits. Every drum sounds amazing. I am so happy I snatched the matching snare too because I have never heard a better sounding snare. It even sounds better than my Ludwig LM 402. The resonance on these just go on and on forever and the base drum is like the best sounding subwoofer. Could not be happier with my purchase. Oh and did I mention they are gorgeous too? Thank you DCP.
Holy 8Grandcamole! If only I could........ and then I'd probably want the snare too! Nice going Shane, this kit is primo! DCP is almost always, nothing but the best!
I have an bubinga Omni-tune snare 6.5 x 14 that would look great with that kit. I am in process of purchasing a new house this baby would make the perfect First piece of furniture for the new house. A bed would be a good second piece.
You know that moment in any movie that features dragons and the dragon opens his mouth and you see fire beginning to swirl? That’s what these drums sound like. May be the best damn drum sounds I’ve ever heard and I don’t even like bubinga!
Wow i wonder how many kit like that we have in🇨🇦at least i heard the drums because of youre super chanel thank you guy’s from Québec City 🇨🇦🇨🇦👏👏👏👏🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
This place is awesome i’m lucky to be from the Boston area to go there and check out their museum where the kit I play is on display which both cracked me up and made me felt really lucky. Ernie Larouche, drummer who taught me so much for four years or so when i was a teenager into 20 years old, and played with britney spears in vegas and is brilliant sold the kit to me in 2003 for such a fair price and he taught me how to best teach myself. If Berklee would only let go of their “perfect robot drummer” standards and listen to a teacher like ernie who knows how to take someone’s natural groove feel and improve it instead of basically breaking you like a horse which is what music school does, berklee much less so than anywhere else but classical method simply doesn’t work for most people especially beginners who need to just rock out a 2 and 4 backbeat and have fun plant the seeds of soul that will come out through their drumming once they start to become their own best teacher then sky’s the limit
The low pitched examples? They could wake the dead! Forget a trumpet on The Last Day, some lucky angel is going to rock the cosmos with one of these drum sets! You wouldn't mind, would you, Shane? 😜😆❤️❤️❤️🤯
I have those exact Paiste cymbals and love them. Now I need those drums. Looks up price. Welp I guess I'll stick with my trusty Ludwig Classic Maples. A man can dream though.
i remember a one of the first drum brochures i ever saw was a tama literature in the late 80s with charlie bennet 'balls to the wall or maybe it just had skulls and such in it or maybe it was just a dream... anyway i'll take all three! this video really cheered me up. thanks shane... come back!
Got a custom 6 piece walnut coming! I did however wanted a bubinga tho lol...we will see. I did find tho the walnut in my opinion had the best of both worlds of high and low. This is coming from a guy coming off a PDP Maple Concept Series. Great kit also with Remo heads.
I can't believe you just posted this, I was just watching the other video you made of all the other Tama Star snares 🤯 your videos always "tickle my whimsy" Groove on! 😂👍🥁👍DC
Only $8K?? I honestly was thinking they would be in the $15K range. Good on you guys for not being greedy shitheads. Still too rich for my blood lol but I was honestly shocked at the price. Good job DCP.
"They have 3 in the US. I got em all. Couldnt help myself." Lol. You guys are true drum junkies and I love the videos.
Fact. Thank you sir!
What seriously ??
They sound great! Trade you for my '82 Mastercraft Rosewood snare..lol..
@@astralgonsalves3922 well it’s still in stock because no one is probably paying $8k usd
Holy shit that Kick drum... lordy!

Yeah these and the sonor sq2’s are definitely the best drums ever made in my opinion

And for the price of a new car, you too can own one of these beautiful kits.

So you're saying they sound better then any Brady kit or a Noble& Cooley CD Maple? Why do you say they are the best you ever heard?
We bought my son a child sized 5 piece Trak all rosewood drum set back in 1987 and it had beautiful sound! I loved playing it too! I sold it for him in 1990’s and instantly and even now regretted that decision!!
Beautiful to look at and beautiful to listen to. Tama does it again!
Man! You jumped the fence with these ones. One can start playing drums at a remarkable level with these. Thumbs up Tama. I would love to be as rich and as good to deserve this drum set.
"It's a Tama Star kit, they're all incredible so you know want one." "DCP now accepting souls for kits"
Red Skull appears: “A soul, for a kit”
Wow what an awesome drum set. The bass drum sounds massive.
This is the drum equivalent of an ultra rare exotic supercar.
OMG! Bubinga warmth! I want that kit even more now that Garstka switched to cardboard box DW
I was never a fan of DW but I like the PDP concept Maple line for under $1,000! I always thought to myself why would I spend that much money when I can spend under $1,000 and get a killer Tama or Yamaha, or even Gretsch!

Jaw dropping. Thanks Shane.
Sweet Jesus... Tama + Paiste = my happy place.
Best combo with these Paiste cymbals! 💥

They sound incredible, the lower tuning suits them better !
Love them ❤️
That snare sounds incredible!
Just gorgeous drums! Sound great tuned low like that too

Love the sound those drums produce.
Very special drums!
The sound is a very big WOW !!! Its just two thumbs up. The material and construction really matters. That Rosewood material is what matters.
Jeeez the thunderous power of these drums! They sound blinding!!
Wow, this is one special-sounding kit. Love the look and build quality too. Hope it’s still around by the end of the year.
That bass drum is gorgeous
Yes PLEASE!
Incredible sounding drums
I personally am not the biggest fan of Tama, but these sound like you could play them for hours and never get bored... fantastic look and sound!
Holy 8Grandcamole! If only I could........ and then I'd probably want the snare too! Nice going Shane, this kit is primo! DCP is almost always, nothing but the best!
Beautiful kit that sounds amazing! One day I will own a Tama Star kit. 🥁❤
Those cymbals sound PERFECT with that kit !
Another great video Shane, Thanks !
That is one incredible sounding and looking 10k drum set! Those cymbals are perfection too.
Beautiful 🥁
When hearing them for the first time what popped into my head was "Holy Crap!".
This sounds like a live rendition of "In the Air Tonight"!
This is what I picture my ideal drum sound, in my head.
literally first song that popped into my head as well 😂
I have an bubinga Omni-tune snare 6.5 x 14 that would look great with that kit. I am in process of purchasing a new house this baby would make the perfect First piece of furniture for the new house. A bed would be a good second piece.
Wow sounds perfect!
I'm a Ludwig guy all the way, and always will be, but wow this is an incredible looking and sounding kit. Really love that 10"×8" tom!
I know these must be REALLY good because they made Shane's face look all shiny.
Can only afford the Tama SLP bronze snare…😳
Great kit…probably the best yet..
You know that moment in any movie that features dragons and the dragon opens his mouth and you see fire beginning to swirl? That’s what these drums sound like. May be the best damn drum sounds I’ve ever heard and I don’t even like bubinga!
They sound great! Perfect sizes too.
Gorgeous kit and fantastic video as always, gents!
Thank you kindly!
Beautiful ! 🔥🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
That's for sure!
Shane , as always best demonstration of the best drums ever made. Hats off to you my friend.

Love those and everything Tama makes
oO these sound insanely great
Looks and sounds fabulous.
Dam, these sound great wow!
Wow they sound incredible...Tama!
Wow that is a special kit. Some kits just have that something extra and this has it.
I still have my 2007 Starclassic Birch/Bubinga kit and it's amazing! Also bubinga looks so cool, and my kit has the exposed bubinga kick drum hoop.
The Rolls Royce of Drums.
Wow i wonder how many kit like that we have in🇨🇦at least i heard the drums because of youre super chanel thank you guy’s from Québec City 🇨🇦🇨🇦👏👏👏👏🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Wow! Fantastic sounding kit, Great for studio applications, but I wouldn't use that for a road kit in a million years,
BOOM :D Beautiful drums :)

I've never played many kits, but I did play a bubinga kit,...with paiste 2002s, and it was just magnificant
Tama star is incredible and to me comes in at the very top.!!!!👍👍👍👍
The low pitched examples? They could wake the dead! Forget a trumpet on The Last Day, some lucky angel is going to rock the cosmos with one of these drum sets! You wouldn't mind, would you, Shane? 😜😆❤️❤️❤️🤯
Of course you bought them all. Lol. Still think i prefer the walnut... but honestly you can't go wrong here.
I have those exact Paiste cymbals and love them. Now I need those drums. Looks up price. Welp I guess I'll stick with my trusty Ludwig Classic Maples. A man can dream though.
Beautiful inner ply! *Covers them in coated heads*
Good God. These are so beautiful!
Awesome sound!
There fantastic!
Freaking Amazing!
Bass drum is so unique
Absolutely amazing!! What else is there to say. Love the vids. Keep up the great work please🤘
They've already done this. About 12 years ago. I bought mine at GC. Still have it.
Great sound - especially at low tuning!
That thing is insanely beautiful and sounds awesome. I’m sure the price is high, no doubt worth it though.
the kit is incredible, but these cymbals to me are the stars, no pun intended.
I was thinking the same. They suit my ears perfectly.
Cymbals are always the key to a great set.

Tama put the kick in, out and through the Rosewood.
man that sounds wonderful, I wonder how it would sound with aquarian reflectors or remo pinstripes

Amazing
Once again Tama proves they are the best. When someone brags about another brand, play Tama next to it, I dare you!
Definitely tickles my whimsy,... And I haven't played drums in years.

WOW!!
This kit has soup AND nuts. Wow.
Have you ever played a Starclassic Bubinga? It has the soup and nuts. Along with a 10 course meal. Coffee AND dessert.
Goodness gracious sakes alive, those are otherworldly.
Only $8K?? I honestly was thinking they would be in the $15K range. Good on you guys for not being greedy shitheads. Still too rich for my blood lol but I was honestly shocked at the price. Good job DCP.
Being called "not greedy shitheads" is the nicest social media comment we've received in quite some time. Thanks, Justin!
Want.
it's a dream for me.
