Back in 2020 I had finally started taking my art seriously. One day I searched “how to draw an anime head” this popped up first I clicked on it and it was really helpful it taught me how to draw an anime head later on I would start to have my own way of making an anime head, without this video I probably wouldn’t have reached this point in my art, so thank you @Shingami Arts for making this video
Oh god, this video brings nostalgia to me. I remembered, it was in last October when I watched this tutorial and tried to copy it with no artistic skills at all. The feeling of frustration when I can't even do a proper circle and a proper proportion. But still, I tried to practice this until I mastered this kind of face. And now, 11 months later, I can draw animes and even realistic portraits. The improvement was so much evident in my art now. This journey would be impossible if I quit learning art just because my first time sucks. So guys, be patient and don't you ever give up if you're frustrated with your art. Failure is part of success and I knew because there are times that I failed but I still kept on going. Anyone can do art if you have the passion, determination, and a good mindset. I wish you goodluck! Edit: Wow, never thought I'll hit 1k likes HAHA. Anyways, not only I can draw semi-realistic portraits, I can also paint! Started painting last August and I seriously sucked at my first attempt, mind you, have no idea what color theory is or how to even use a watercolor. But I still tried for fun! The first sucks but the third attempt, I can actually see the improvement. Now, my family and friends always compliments my painting because it's very pretty! I just keep on getting better at it every time because I paint not to impress but to enjoy and have fun, I guess that's the reason why I improved. Enjoy the process, don't be harsh on yourself. Meaning work on them at the same time kinda, start one small main detail to the eye then start the other and do the same. I agree, Artists whatever rank they are like beginers or experts they all work hard and come up with som ething Good for their own rank. I am a Artist too.
Since everyone is complaning here about not being able to draw circles, i will try to give you a few tips to draw a decent circle (remember, no artist can draw circles perfectly) 1. Draw circles everyday, Just draw a bunch of circles on a piece of paper. This will help you get the right hand corrdination when drawing circles in anime. 2. Draw still life circles, get an orange and try your best to copy the roundness of the orange (also you get bounus shading practice) 3. Know that drawing circles takes time and practice, you wont make a perfect circle overnight you must work hard to get what you want. I hope this helped! :)
I do art everyday, and eventually, I got the hang of drawing circles!! OH and other thing, *make sure to not draw ur lines too dark when u start, cause when u try to erase, u will see a line.. sooo draw as light as u can do when u erase, it won’t show anything.. :)*
Just a head's up for everyone here, try learning realism and anatomy first, so in a way you can modify and develop your own anime artstyle like Berserk and not have the typical artstyle.
A tip : never doubt urself , dont worry if it looks bad , all you need is practice , if u doubt urself it will make a massive impact on what u see ur work , so dont worry if u make mistakes , u can take ur time to perfect it .
It's also not showing the body under the clothes that can kill a character in seconds as your just guessing at that point :/ this "Tutorial" is more of a look what i can do imo
This is definitely for beginners. This is a pretty plain sketch of the most standard anime head in the easiest angle for beginners (facing straight forward). People who can already draw will not learn anything from this video.

use that thing you find in compass boxes that makes circles to make circles. for the placement of the eyes, use 1 eye large in between to place everything correctly. for the actual eyes, use squares, rhombuses or rectangle rhombuses according to the eye size to draw them equally wide and proportional. Oh yea, it depends on the eye for the jawline, according to the width (might be different) its right or a bit above the mouth. That's why they say art is all about seeing. Hope this helped someone :)

Since everyone is complaning here about not being able to draw circles, i will try to give you a few tips to draw a decent circle (remember, no artist can draw circles perfectly)
1. Draw circles everyday, Just draw a bunch of circles on a piece of paper. This will help you get the right hand corrdination when drawing circles in anime.
2. Draw still life circles, get an orange and try your best to copy the roundness of the orange (also you get bounus shading practice)
3. Know that drawing circles takes time and practice, you wont make a perfect circle overnight you must work hard to get what you want.

I do art everyday, and eventually, I got the hang of drawing circles!! OH and other thing, *make sure to not draw ur lines too dark when u start, cause when u try to erase, u will see a line.. sooo draw as light as u can do when u erase, it won’t show anything.. :)*

This isn't actually for beginners, it's probably intermediate. Tutorials like this already assume we can draw.
It's also not showing the body under the clothes that can kill a character in seconds as your just guessing at that point :/ this "Tutorial" is more of a look what i can do imo
This is definitely for beginners. This is a pretty plain sketch of the most standard anime head in the easiest angle for beginners (facing straight forward). People who can already draw will not learn anything from this video.

use that thing you find in compass boxes that makes circles to make circles.
for the placement of the eyes, use 1 eye large in between to place everything correctly.
for the actual eyes, use squares, rhombuses or rectangle rhombuses according to the eye size to draw them equally wide and proportional. Oh yea, it depends on the eye
for the jawline, according to the width (might be different) its right or a bit above the mouth.
That's why they say art is all about seeing.
