I was one of the LEGAL immigrants who came to New York City. It was in the Giuliani years. Life there was good, I paid taxes and respected the law. I became an American citizen and I am grateful to the American people for that opportunity. I continued working and paying taxes and respecting the law. I actually became a NYPD cop and upheld the law. And then came de Blasio. And my family and I packed our things and left the city in obvious decline. They didn't care for my work, my taxes, my presence. And I was not alone in leaving. I am now happy in a state with a reasonable governor. Tucker says it all.

Some of us who paid into the system by working, like social security when you become disabled, don't receive even half of what they do. Yet those who come here illegally the benefits they receive, for free, include housing, Healthcare, money, expensive phones, clothes, school, and when you add it all up were talking several thousands per month. But if you are a citizen, who worked and paid into the system and you became disabled, you barely get a thousand a month, no housing, you pay for your Healthcare, no food stamps, etc etc etc. It's wrong on so many levels. I couldn't walk into Mexico and get treated like a celebrity. Nope if I tried to enter another country illegally, I would be arrested, jailed, and immediately deported after serving a prison sentence.

I’m so sorry. My father had Parkinson’s for 37 years. He only got disability for the last 8 years of his life (he only got that because it was due to the Agent Orange in Vietnam and my God the red tape) and my mother who was married to him for 4 months shy of 45 years gets shi+ now except a secondary insurance coverage. I honestly pray your dad gets some kind of back pay. It’s a horrible way to watch your father die. Please don’t let him give up on that at least but at 69 he has bypassed disability and will get the same amount as social security UNLESS he was military. If he was military, don’t give up! Those @$$holes come with big back pay checks in their back pockets!! Even though once your dad hit 65 the insurance side rolls to secondary and it all goes to whatever Medicare will pay for primarily and that blows!!! Just don’t give up!

I honestly pray your dad gets some kind of back pay. It’s a horrible way to watch your father die. Please don’t let him give up on that at least but at 69 he has bypassed disability and will get the same amount as social security UNLESS he was military. If he was military, don’t give up! Those @$$holes come with big back pay checks in their back pockets!! Even though once your dad hit 65 the insurance side rolls to secondary and it all goes to whatever Medicare will pay for primarily and that blows!!! Just don’t give up!
