Great video. Very informative. Didn't know much about Grand Central. It's on the short list now. Do you know if the Central Park Tower accepts non guests in the rooftop bar? Thanks.
I stayed at the Rishan village residences . It's about 3 blocks from walking street. The place was very nice and the guard out from was really nice. The street name was Elisa street.
I've stayed at Wild Orchid Resort, Swiss Chalet and my favourite The Pacific Breeze, where the ground floor rooms once started at $36 (way back in April 2009) and the restaurant serves the finest shrimp curry in all of The Philippines. Also the newly opening sports bar you filmed at the start of the video appears to be The former Paradise Beer Garden?
Ive stayed at Score Birds Hotel King`s Room i think it was and 110% Satisfied every stay! 3 Last Stays there, tho havent been travelling since before Covid but i hope my health will get better in a couple of years and i can be able too travel again. But i like your videos very much. And cant wait until i can go back and retirement is in range.
Chad, the first hotel... Fields Plaza Hotel, I've been in many times. It's a sister hotel to ABC Hotel. The furnishings are all the same...couches, beds, decorations... also staff...etc. But these are more of a condo... full bedrooms and kitchens. If you stay here you can use all of the amenities at ABC.... the pools, AQUA, the gym, etc. My preference is to stay at Fields Plaza, because I prefer the full kitchen and separate bedrooms. And the prices are relatively similar to ABC. And since your subscriber asked about hotels close to walking street, this is also perfect for that.
I stayed in a unit at Fields Plaza once. I found it on AirBnB and the price was pretty reasonable. I seem to remember it was about $65 per night. The rooms are nice, but I stayed in better (e.g., Penthouse, La Grande, Kandi, and Euphoria to name a few a few). I want to try the Queens hotel next. I heard a lot of good talk about it. 👍🏾
Attached to Wild Orchid is Bourbon St. Apts.. Not sure if you've ever visited but there are various sized apartelle type rooms to stay at daily, weekly, monthly or own. You get easy indoor access to Wild Orchid and they offer full room service as well. BTW, Lewis Grand asking price was “only” 900,000,000 Php.
I usually go to my favorite budget hotel behind ABC hotel. It's the Sun And moon has pool and friendly staff close to everything at 750 pesos my last time. Nothing spectacular but reasonable.😊
I have stayed in the Pacific Breeze more than 10 times since 2009. I highly recommend it, great and honest staff, close to the action and they offer a pick-up service either in Manilla or Clark airports.
Hi, Chad . Dave Australia here I arrive on Wednesday night. philippine airlines Hope dont cancel the flight from Australia. Catch up with you somewhere after that?
I've stayed in a few of those hotels pre-pandemic. Kokomo's was nice and surprisingly quiet, but my room was behind the restaurant, not Angel Witch. I stayed in Orchid Inn twice, the room in the Jasmine wing(?) was nice but the room in the original building was right by reception and it was noisy. The Royal Amsterdam was quiet but my room was the bed and a small path to the bathroom. The Swiss Chalet was quiet and the staff was friendly.

My favourite hotel is the Wild Orchid Resort, BIG pool, rooms are great, the food is catered for western tastes as well as filipino, it has a little travel office inside beside reception if you want to book tours or a car for getting to your next destination. It also has 2 x ATMs so no need to take your chance out in the open at a street ATM and its super close to all the action. ☺🙂
It’s always either of the orchids or Central Park tower for me,First hotel I ever stayed in back in 97 was the long gone America hotel great memories of that place too.
I wouldn't want to dtay directly on walking street. I've stayed st The Pacific Breeze, Central Park and Queens hotels, all are very nice and are close enough. For something less expensive I liked staying at the 95O Condotel above Mr JJ's.
airport racetrack Clark history and all it has to offer, huge turnover of excited tourists and women, hospitals restaurant choices entertainment the huge development that’s happening with the train.. eventually so many opening and closings there’s always something here to report on
Saw Marcus, overstay road stayed at Field Plaza Hotel real nice but no guest allowed but that was a couple years ago, only stayed at Orchid inn, Pacific Breeze, and Scorebirds, in March will try Valentinos for a couple days but my go to hotel is deluxe king rm. at Scorebirds in that 44-50 US dollar a night price range!
Don't bother with Valentinos. No lift service so you will be walking up lots of stairs. They advertise gym/pool, but the gym is laughable and pool is very meh. The employees are nice, but the walls seem thin I heard practically everything my neighbors were up too during my stay. The AC is old and dripped lots of condensation below which unfortunately was where the table and chairs were set up. Also the bed was not comfortable and bed sheets had small holes in them. When I checked out they claimed I put stain on a sheet and charged me 1000 pesos extra. I was going to challenge it, but really just wanted to get out of there at that point.
@@george68718 It was in 2023, but I doubt if too much has changed. In any case I hope your experience is better than mine. I was on 4th floor so I really got a workout LOL
Most of the these hotels come with a fully stocked and overpriced mini bar. I always ask housekeeping to remove all the contents when I check in. Much rather fill the fridge with things that I know I'm going to use. It also avoids a guest with potentially "sticky fingers" from taking a few items when you not looking.
Lols I wouldn't stay on Walking St, if you paid me too. Malabatcat area is a lot better in my opinion. Talking of high prices I reckon the hotels on Clarkside are the most expensive. In my preferred area it's the Clarkton hands down!
@ I’m hoping we get a chance to hook up while I’m there. I’m gonna be there for 17 days before I move on and I’ve been watching you and Anne for God. It seems like three years now almost
Nice one!! 🙂😎 Thanks for the info... It'll definitely help for my next visit 😎
Great info for those considering a visit. Good stuff.
thank you Mike ✌️😃

the wild orchid was a good place i stayed at while there.
👍😃
My choice too!

Nice video Chad! Do something similar on the bars of walking street. Pros & Cons, prices of drinks & bar fines, type of music etc.
Good breakdown of the hotels, those type of vids I had previously done 3 years ago still get views
that would be nice 😃
Thanks! Nice vid
👍😃

Thanks for all the info. It's nice to see what's available around WS. Thanks for sharing !
ive been wanting to pull this together for a while 👍 there’s a couple Korean places there as well i missed 😎
Thanks again for sure. Side note - I was really upset the Vikings dumped on their last game. I have never been a Darnold fan.
@peppermo Darnold was strong all year 😃 a real surprise, then dropped an egg the last 2 important games… bring on the Rookie 👍
Sure Stay was on point reasonable 30 peso jeepney ride to main-gate check point
😃👍✌️
see you tom mr.chubs at western fields 😅
see you there 😃👍

pick up in Manila is huge 👍
large rooms great proximity to everything 😃 thank you ✌️
I assume they charge for pick up service? One nice thing about Pacific Breeze is they give a discount if you pay in cash
@clrodrick yes all will charge something 👍
Hi, Chad . Dave Australia here I arrive on Wednesday night. philippine airlines Hope dont cancel the flight from Australia. Catch up with you somewhere after that?
good to hear 👍 i will be back Thursday late.. our paths will cross

Lewis Grand was a great hotel and had my 50th birthday party there around the pool there, staff were great and the rooms perfect.
ive seen pictures 😃 pool area looked great 👍 rooms looked spacious
I stay every time in a Apartment in the Kandi Tower Complex nice big rooms and very good service.
I believe Scorebirds or Kokomos would be good for me. I would only be there for a week until I find a permanent apartment. Awesome info. Thank you
those are good places to stay while you search 👍
you should be able to find long term quicker than i did 🤞😃

keepin it close with the Orchids 👍😃
It used to be called Walkabout then a Korean bought it and changed it to Walkaround.
it looks like they finally took down all the walk”about” signage.. both names were everywhere there for a while 😳
🇵🇭😎🇵🇭
Queens Hotel is one i cam highly recommend. Very close to Walking St and great staff.
very nice place 👍 one of my first tours 😃

950 👍 cool rooftop and close enuf 😃
ON walking street once, that’s enuf
"Fields Palace Hotel"... just get a room not on the main floor and the music will not be an issue. Staff was super friendly when I stayed there.
makes sense 👍😃
Angeles is okay for a visit, but what makes you want to live there permanently Chad?
