I don’t get this philosophy. I’m a teacher. Been doing it for a decade. I hate my job and I suck at it and find it boring no matter how long I practice it. Also while I’m building this career capital how do I pay the bills? If I work a basic job to survive I’m too tired to build skills. Also… following traits the career you love? That just sounds like find you passion and get good at it.
I'm a social worker. I built my capital by getting my Master's degree. This was no small feat as it's 76 graduate level credits. This helped catapult me into new roles. Along the way, I've networked and now have a good paying job. I work for the federal government where the opportunities are endless. I believe that you have a Bachelor level degree, possibly a Master's. Either way, you could work on an IT certificate or any other sought out skill; have you ever thought of getting a degree in Speech therapy? They work with stoke victim, for Visiting nurse agencies, not just kids. You'd have to work while honing in on your skills, but you'll have that end goal in mind to get you through those dark and challenging days.
I love this
