Great idea in theory, BUT, when using in conjunction with a rapid round style feeder the eke isn't actually deep enough from looking at your video on the subject of this eke, so would still require another eke/shim to successfully use the rapid rounds 😢
I am very keen on the idea of using the vapouriser on the top. I worry about the hot vapuriser resting on the top of the frames andburningthe frames. would it be a wise idea to have some sort of insulation material placed on the top of the frames where the vapourise would rest.
It would certainly use something. Whether it is a thick piece of foil or a sliver of wood. The frames shoujldn't burn but they may be scored a little on top with no precautions.

Yes but the head space laths in the roof would give ample room

Excuse my ignorance but the feeder at the end was taller by some margin than the eke (or appeared so - would you need something else too?
The lathes in the roof will give plenty of room to accomodate the feeder
