Wild cards are individual sheets you can either print out or purchase in a pack and tape down on those blank pages! Some of them are like books to read, or finance tracking, or bucket lists. They are basically a way to customize the powersheets.
@@CindyGuentertBaldo ahhh! Interesting! Thanks for letting me in on that. I've been watching you use this system all year and now that it's nearly release time, I am considering if I want to.
Thanks for going through this! I got Powersheets this year and last year, and both years I didn't touch them after June or so, so I'm looking for something else for 2022. I wish they worked for me because they're so pretty (I like the colorful ones 🙂), but something about the way it's organized just feels too overwhelming and like too much of a commitment for me. Curious to see the alternative you mentioned!
I'm interested in the Maske too. The update has me pondering!! Oh and do a live! Also, thank you. I suffer with a rare type of chronic migraines and work stress equals insomnia haunting me. Your videos have kept me entertained will in bed. Just another you touch so many♥️ I'll make sure to buy my set from your link. Never thought about it before, I just go to the website on launch. 🤦🏾♀️
I don't like the changes at all. The one thing I liked about the Powersheets was that they made me think about the big overarching goals that I had for the year and then to break them down. I think this may end up with me just creating lots of busy work for myself. I already track so many tasks and to-dos in my bullet journal that I need a system to pull me up and make me think of the big picture - I feel that this is being somewhat lost with the changes. I would be happy to be proved wrong. It is so much money for me to ship the Powersheets over to the UK I will be gutted if they do not work for me this year.
I really like the work/ learning! I am a SAHM right now. I’m also a licensed teacher and will go back to the classroom when my babies grow up a bit. Continuing education is not something I am good at focusing right now on but would like to in order to stay competitive when I go back.
Oh I’m sad the minigoal breakdown is gone, I really liked that in this year’s sheets. However now I see the notebook fits in the pocket I might buy that instead of the wild cards and use that.
At the end of 2020 I didn't think I needed a goal planner and then suddenly I have clear goals and think this would be great for someone like me (someone who struggles to organize goals in anything but a list)
2:50 - I thought I was the only one disappointed. All she did is read the text in the powersheets. I was expecting some further support but...oh well. I was thinking of trying Makse Life as well this year LOL! I need to coordinate how to get them to Australia though...
TL;DR - I'm looking for goal setting stuff I can include in like a disc-bound frankenplanner. Suggestions?? Long story: I really love the Powersheets prep work and their aesthetic, but the bottom line is that for me I can't handle multiple planners. My powersheets the past few years ends up on my desk gathering dust and only getting touched a handful of times each year, so I've decided to move to something totally customizable and am going to make the leap to disc bound and build myself an everything-in-one-place system. I would really like a goal setting system I can integrate into my planner, especially something with good prep work to help me think through what I really want my goals to be. The most promising I've seen so far is Makselife's quarterly notebooks, although I've never tried Makselife, and I don't know what it is about them, maybe just the aesthetic, but they really just don't call to me...maybe I need to try them in person, I don't know. Are there any other good products out there for goal planning that I could incorporate into a disc-bound, catch-all, frankenplan situation?

I bought PS about 4 years ago and was really turned off by the presumption that we’re all so busy, and the creator continuously telling me how I feel and how it’s holding me back. I turned to Makse and discovered that system is much too subjective for me. My compass assessment could look very different depending on which day I filled it out. I bought 2022 PS on impulse and hope I can overcome whatever presumptuous tones still linger there. Because I could use some help focusing on productivity in my life. Thanks for the review. And they’re pretty, which can actually be a distraction sometimes for me.
I hope the Maske comes out before we have to make a choice. I bought the power sheets last year and I didn’t use them as much as I thought. I’m feeling like the Maske might be more for me but I would love your opinion.
I was also considering the Makse Life but I think I will stick with the Powersheets. I really like the system and feel like the tending list is really what keeps me accountable. I will try one more year and hopefully can be more consistent
Same here! I printed worksheets from MakseLife, filled our process, then flipped through my old PS. Needless to say, I ordered Power Sheets again! Much more intense and involved, detailed and specific.
I'm so bummed about the changes made to the refresh and goal break down pages. Makes me questions if I really want to get them now, those pages really worked for me. I know I could "recreate" the pages in a notebook or on the page in there but a part of appeal is that they are there and I don't have to do the extra work. .
What goal-setting strategy would you recommend for a beginner? MakseLif seems like overkill, so would you suggest Powersheets or did you start with something else?
I actually like that page to map out your goals, that's what I felt is missing from powersheets and would do that on a legal pad where I had more room.
It looks like they took some things from the Makse Planner like the 3 types of goals and the way the goals are marked down. That makes me a little sad. I did one year of PS and one year of ML and after seeing this I’ll probably stick with ML.

So they subtly changed their colors and their goal category phrasing to more closely match MakseLife, but still completely missed actually teaching their customers HOW to set goals, take action, and measure results. Again. This feels like when the Christians stormed through Europe telling all the pagans "Hey, you can totally convert and worship with us, we celebrate at the same times of the year! Completely the same! Really!" and then it wasn't. At all. I got both the PS and the ML last year to compare them, already knowing how to set measurable goals and break them down into tasks. The PS was absolute garbage at that task in comparison to the ML, and it looks like it still is.
I super noticed the similarities - I wonder if it is because the Makselife is directly competing but from a company that doesn't have any religious connotations.
I switched to Makse for 2021 because while both systems focus on being intentional, Power Sheets (for me) wants you to be positive and Makse wants you to be honest.

Not pulling your prior score over until you’ve done this quarters is so smart!
I know how easily influenced I am by seeing shit like that so I need to avoid it haha
I dislike how the change the colours each year to be slightly different - you cant then use anything you've previously bought.
*takes notes*
I switched to Makse for 2021 because while both systems focus on being intentional, Power Sheets (for me) wants you to be positive and Makse wants you to be honest.
@@kdb7219 that is such a good way to put it, thank you
