Those were definitely the first iteration of the Grippies, and after many conversations with fellow crawlers, I changed a few things up and made them WAY EASIER to mount! I increased the opening, which made them way easier to set the beadlocks! Your new set is on the way brother!

I was with Rob on Sunday the owner of the grippies brand. He had some tires and wheels made up and we all got to try them on our rigs. They do make a difference we put them on the front. He is working on some lightweight ones that you can put in the rear he may have told you this already.
$35 dollars for micro foams, I am not going to comps to justify the dollar to grip ratio I'm just some guy at his local spot having fun. To top it off all the mounting issues, first run of "new" stuff my dad said always to pass on. I'm sure there is a market for them though. My crappy 2 cents worth.

@@2fmrc after watching your full video, I'm a little worried about finding the right wheel/tire combo. I have a pretty good variety, but now I'm nervous! haha
I figured out that 2 flubs up front and the grippies in the rear works well for me. Keep the back tires from bouncing and the fronts have good lateral stability

Might be a good example of why it's useful for the small parts makers to take advantage of the community and those like Matt that have a ton of hours in, with a ton of different parts. Send your product to them to get feed back. Getting the good and bad word from outside you're view and usual circle of friends is invaluable. You just can't see some flaws and/or solutions, no matter how hard you look.
Really lacking in squish to get bigger contact patch. Maybe needs some sort of notching to get squish. Definitely needs a version for really light rigs, like your comp rig.

When I first saw they were 50$ shipped I almost fell over that's insane money for 4 inserts! Not sure if shipping is still 15$ or not but that's wild to me. I will wait for that price to chill out before trying 😅

I broke a u bolts on my 1/12 scale land rover series ll and fair rc only sells the whole axel not just the u bolt. Ya got any idea where you can find them? I was moving the leafs to the top side of the axel and Oops
@@ElPandaMonia I have a video on the build. It’s a Prophet Designs Pro Spec chassis and the only thing I’ve changed since the build vid is the front axle. I’m now running a Meus iso axle in the front because the pins keep failing out of the Hradpark axle. If you need any more info on it after the vid let me know! Baddest SCX24 EVER! Are they ok to run in 95 plus outdoor temperatures?
@ I froze them and boiled them, they’re solid to run in extreme temps!

Definitely! Version 2 is WAY easier to mount and work with! Live the feedback, want to make a great product that works!

Try trimming the inserts at a 45° on both sides right where the bead locks up.
The new versions have a larger opening, virtually eliminating the issue Matt had!

I do think the wheel slipping on the rim was those wheels that are causing that. I've had them do similar
