It is difficult to understand what you are doing without the voice over. So I feel there are other video which can be more clearer than yours. Thank hardworking but I couldn't be your subscribers for now. May be in the future I might appreciate your video.

…sarcasm lost. Looks pretty much identical to mine from 8 years ago. A little more refined, but same technique.

I have 2019 Sketchup Pro, perpetual license, and I have all the plug-ins/extensions to follow this tutorial in full. However, each time I get to the subtract portion of the helix solid from the smooth bolt shaft solid, I end up with few dots of drawing and nothing else like the nice clean bolt drawing that shows in the tutorial. I've gone back and reviewed the tutorial for any small missing step and can find only one anomaly between my Sketchup Pro system and what's in this tutorial. My JointPushPull toolbar requires a positive Molding number entered to achieve the same results as the tutorial where the tutorial shows using a negative number. Any thoughts as to why Sketchup will not subtract my helix solid from the bolt as it does in your tutorial?

I used a lot Sketchup, very intuitive software but very limited. IE: in Fusion 360 same model takes about 30 sec.

It's a great way to do a nut and bolt, but it'd never work without some clearance. It's easy by selecting the threads in the nut and scaling in the red-green plane from center a little, some 101 or 102%. Not only for 3d printing, real metal bolts work like that

I doubt that SketchUp can be called a complete software, because if there is no plug-in, SketchUp can only do square things...

Amazing work! When I model bolts myself, I follow the same algorithm. ;)
But here in Russia, eight-sided bolts are extremely rare - more often 6-sided. ;)))
