Its nice to see that the Netherlands is so nice unlike america where about 60 ish % is just either factories or population development and greetings from america.
Depends on where you drive. Around the Maasvlakte neer Rotterdam or Chemelot in the province of Limburg, near Roermond you tend to see big chemical plants or industrial zones. A big difference however is that we mix small industry and businesses with homes.
i've uploaded a few long videos myself and it's just TH-cam processing that takes a bit longer, Whenever the video is uploaded, It'll be checked right after that, And after that it gets processed to HD. It's typically 3 steps but the videos are visible after the first step. There for i personally wait with publishing until it's fully done processing but that's a choice for whoever is uploading to make.
As a Canadian citizen I am enjoying the sceniry of the country side of Netherlands and especially in 4K. It is vey nice to see. You are a good truck driver as far that I am concerned and roads are beautiful and most driver are observing speed limit from what I am gathering.
I like your videos, every upload I always watch. Thank you for taking me for a walk even if it's virtual ☺️ always success bro always take care of your physical health. greetings from Indonesia❤
SCS Definiftely nailed some of the things in that game: it is pretty something how AI traffic based on the way it drives can make you do "Ooooh no you are not going to merge at that spe..." *EMERGENCY BRAKE* just like in real life. I don't have many games in my library but that is among the three most played ones, definitely. Currently trying to fix my sim-rig so I can play it more real again :P .
A question out of curiosity: What is the suggested distance to switch lanes back to the right? With the driving lessons for the regular car I always learned to not come back to the right to quickly because of the risk of a truck auto-emergency braking or braking fiercely (but not necessarily to a full standstill) because it thinks a collision is about to happen (this was back in 2012 by the way when those trucks were still rare, but my driving instructor was really really adamant on taking buses and trucks into account in a lot of situations). And while my driving instructor never gave a particular type of distance or rule to follow, my brother had a different instructor that said "Follow your rear-view mirror: if you can see both headlights, you can start moving right". But what is the typical "rule" to merge back on a truck?
If I'm not mistaking, tinted glass is not allowed on the windshield, and if it is, only to such a small degree that in terms of light reduction it does practically nothing. Rules on this are superstrict for regular cars, and I would not be surprised if it is even stricter for trucks, if allowed at all.

sorry to ask but i am very interested, i know that you use retarder instead of brakes for the air in the truck, but when exactly do oyu use retarder and when brakes?, and how come you use parking brake when stopped at a red light, sorry to ask, and thanks in advance for the answer, and really nice videos, i really enjoy it, i also want to drive a truck, i hope one day i can, love your videos and your channel thanks!!
Retarder use means you need toanticipate or look way in front of you. Then the retarder will take away a lot of your normal brakes. And to get to a stand still you need the only a small amount of brakeforce. Also the retarder in long steep downhills will keep your airbrakes cool.Coolbrakes means better brake performance in case of need or urgency. You shift 1 or 2 gears down untill 2000 RPM and set the retarder on the 2th stand. Then it will normaly maintain his speed without the need of using the airbrakes now and then. Hot breaks will start to fade(smell)when they are realy hot. The retarder is a good safety tool used on dryroads.
The retarder is used to slow you down in an anticipatory manner: disc brakes are expensive to service on trucks and thus, using them as little as possible can extend their service life. It also decreases fine-dust and, in some cases, noise, because a retarder can be a lot more silent than squeaky brake pads. A retarder has different strengths (on trucks usually, the buses we have in my area only have an on and off style one) to allow for a strength in which it intervenes depending on the circumstance. You use it for going down a declining road for instance: along with (if possible) choosing a gear (some automatic gearboxes allow manual overrides) that causes more drag, it helps you "glide" down without having to use your disc brakes to much. And if you do have to use them, a light tap to reduce speed a tad bit might be enough, instead of having to pump them hard and release (this last thing in order to not suffer overheated brakes and suffer a loss of brake control). A retarder by the way will also get warm, which is why upon resuming normal driving you are typically switching it off. Brakes are obviously still used in every situation that requires quick intervention and a quick and big speed reduction: a retarder takes about a second to really do something (just as disengaging it can take a while for the influence of it to stop having an effect on the vehicle). Next to the retarder some trucks also might have an exhaust brake, in which the exhaust gasses are forced through a system (there are different ones) that makes the release of them more difficult, causing the engine to slow itself down as well. But just as there are different exhaust brakes, there are also different retarders: some are oil based and push oil through fins that rotate (or the fins are stationary and discs try to make the oil move past them) which causes drag. There are also eddy-current style ones (not sure how common they are in trucks in The Netherlands, I was once told by a busdriver that they are common on mountain-route buses that have to do a lot of long descends on hairpin roads) in which magnets are moved closer to an aluminium disc, causing eddy currents due to magnetic fields to create a drag on it (think of the experiment of throwing a neodymium magnet through a copper pipe or letting it slide past a heatsink: you'll see the eddy current working against the movement of the magnet, slowing it's descend down). The vicinity of these magnets allows the strength.
who taught you to drive, have you got onr arm longer than tha other m8.....its drive at 10 to 2 ok..now i see your doing it right...first for me driving with you....
9 to 3 actually: those indents on the inside of the wheel where your thumbs fit so well are there for a reason, and 9 to 3 allows the biggest amount of force you can exert on the wheel, but also that you can take should you suffer a blown tire.

Your truck needs tinted glasses for the windows!! They look really cool and they are really good for the sunny days
If I'm not mistaking, tinted glass is not allowed on the windshield, and if it is, only to such a small degree that in terms of light reduction it does practically nothing.
