Mechanism of Endotoxins | Pyrogen Activation & LPS Structure

In this video mechanism of action of endotoxins have been explained in detail.

For healthcare providers: Patients should expect to get worse while being treated against gram-negative bacteria. That is a sign of the antibodies working against it.
Here is why: Gram-negative microbes produce an endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide) that is a structural portion of the cell wall and is released during growth, lysis, or destruction of the bacteria or during treatment with antibiotics.
