I'm 46 and I have my hat off to Gen Z for telling the cosmetics industry that there was NOTHING wrong with using cheap drug store affordable makeup, effectively forcing companies to finally start competing with the high end industry, Gen Z can keep on bringing this sort of dynamic to the world 👍
I don’t think it’s because of gen z- it’s due to social media in general. Drug store brands have been making products to compete with luxury brands for the better part of a decade.

I wasn’t a fan of the putty bronzer little too dry for dry skin imo but I do LOVE the makeup revolution one for dry skin! I think it’s better than some high ends and it’s also half off several times a year making it $4.50!
I have their cleansing balm. I like it. It does do the job. I'd say just as well as PF's but like PF's it does burn the eyes. This one also makes them blurry. Just something to keep in mind. I wish PF or Elf would create a balm that doesn't have fragrance. I may be wrong but I think that's what's causing the burning and blurring... 🤷♀️

I found/bought 2 bottles of Clinques THDO at TJ Maxx. I use the oil for my face then THDO just for my eyes. Once I'm done with THDO I'll check out the Inky List balm. Again, thanks... 😉

My favorite all time elf brush is their small stipple brush. It performs better than most expensive small stipple brushes, and you can use it to apply and blend almost anything except eye makeup👍🏾
ELF skincare is great honestly! Their Pure Skin Cleanser is SO good to my acne prone skin. I noticed a difference after TWO uses and I never do with anything else really. And their Holy Hydration Face Cream, LOVE IT! I tried them both at the same time and neither broke me out. They both make a difference in the quality and texture of my skin. I ran out of the cleanser and noticed a difference, and then a week later I ran out of the moisturizer and same deal. They both help my skin so much. I was super hesitant to try them too as my skin breaks out SO EASILY! Like, I never change up face products because of it. I've been using the same Ponds anti-aging cream for maybe 7 years now, the same brow pencil for about the same time, and for the longest time I wasn't even using cleansers because they all broke me out. UNTIL THE PURE SKIN CLEANSER FROM ELF WALKED INTO MY LIFE. 💜 Crazy thing, my fiance got it for me as a Christmas gift, same with the moisturizer. I think I’m in the minority of people who HATE elfs concealers and the putty bronzers/blush. The concealers: both the matte and hydrating ones…no matter how little i used of them always look so cakey. The one you showed was very meh to me, light weight but didn’t look very natural and emphasized my texture. Putty blush: its sheer, especially the luminous one. Applied patchy and had to build up to get some pigment but couldn’t get over how patchy it looked. Bronzer: hated it. It barely showed up unless i digged my brush or sponge into it…also it wouldn’t blend? No matter what i used (brush, fingers, sponge) it would look like a big skid mark and it felt like i was playing tug of war with my skin.
That cleansing balm is a dream. All I have to do is smear it on my face, rub a little, boom its gone. And it works on anything. I had a few lipsticks I didn't wear much because they were so hard to get off, but this gets them off in seconds.
what's the best drugstore for elf? every where I go it is limited or so picked over, I can never find the things people rave about, which I know proves the hype but I would love to go into a store and see a full well organized, visibly priced wall of elf! I honestly don’t like the putty bronzers at all, but that’s just me. They’re patchy, a weird texture, barely show up, and if you swatch it on ur hand it’s the weirdest dry wet texture, in a bad way. I got a shade I think would be good for me but it didn’t even show up

I recently bough the eye shadow sticks and they are perfect. They don’t budge and last all day. I have greasy eyelids so I apply primer in my eyes.

I use the Elf putty brush(has the hook at the end) for blending my cream bronzer and blush..its the best!
My favorite elf brush is the brush that is for blending cream products. It has a curve at the end. I own 4 of those.
