    With goldlewis what I tend to do to beat dps is a spaced out bt, generally BTs that start with forward will clash and I can just cancel into another bt, if I have enough time I’ll do something like 426 or 486 which will generally counter hit

      Although that's very safe, you're giving up pressure and mixup by doing this and I wouldn't recommend doing it every time. If you do it every time, the opponent just needs to block (preferably FD) you once and then you're back to Goldlewis's relatively bad neutral game. Pressing you advantage after a knockdown is usually preferable, even if you do have a chance of getting reversaled.

      This is true midscreen but in the corner it's a pretty safe option!

      @@Blargel I’m fully aware, it’s not always what I do, but it is still an option and a pretty strong one as it also covers backdash, it’s especially strong when you have meter as goldlewis rately needs to spend meter on damage, more often than not I do an air dash crossup as most people aren’t ready to do a reverse dp input

      @@aidanpupilis2979 Cool, just making sure! I also do meaty spaced BT sometimes too. Sometimes the opponent just doesn't expect you to be swinging from that far away, haha.

      This idea might be good from a lvl 3 skyfish knockdown since you can't safejump.

    I've been playing fighting games for nearly 10 years and can do fancy stuffs with Happy Chaos but things like close Slash meaty just don't get consistant enough for me after a year of practicing. I can beat throw more often than not but there have been too many occasions where I missed the timing and got thrown instead.

    You can also BT from a distance suchas 624HS which is a meaty, and clashes with BTs. So you would BT and during BT buffer anotherr BT incase it clashes. Although this loses a lot of pressure, sometimes its much better to do so. In some knockdown situations you can also 426HS which can still clash with DP's, but if blocked, gives more pressure such as 2k/f.s/862HS followup

    Luckily Faust command grab beats out a lot wake up options, including DP.

    I am struggling to do the same side/cross up safe jump after a throw, I don't know on which side i'm landind so i'm basically mixing myself on which side to block after the j.hs, any tips on that?

    • @baccpack
      @baccpack  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sooner is same side, later is crossup. You just gotta grind it out to find the timing

    Hey bacckpack i notice your using a mixbox i want to know if its possible to do a tutorial on how to use the mixbox my reason is i just recently got mixbox myself and i am having some trouble doing some inputs like double 214 , 623s, and double 236

    • @baccpack
      @baccpack  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For 268 and 248 on mixbox, you kind of have to “climb” it. All in the middle finger. For 623 u hold forward then do a quarter circle.

    What do you think about Gobou doing 2P on wakeup? He did that a lot during kumite

    • @baccpack
      @baccpack  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      fairly "safe" meaty option but has limited follow ups

    • @BedlessSleeper
      @BedlessSleeper 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's use is very limited after the recent FD changes. You can only 2p into c.S at max sprint speed in the event they FD c.S which everyone does now against lewis. Although it's a frametrap, the extra space added from FD reduces your combo and mixup potential. In the event that your pushed too far and are forced to f.s, the opponent can react to it if they understand the matchup and counter it since f.s is not a frame trap.
