New subscriber here! Stumbled across your field harrow video, which led me to the channel. I recently took over my granddaddy’s farm, he passed away in January of ‘21. He was 65, I’m 26. So it was definitely an adjustment, especially not having him by my side when it comes to the farm. Our farms been in our family since 1913, about 50 acres. 25 his, 25 his brothers. Most of its hay fields and about 8 acres is our cow pasture. I made him a promise to keep it going, hasn’t been easy, sometimes overwhelming. Staying positive. He was a life long farmer, he helped raise me on his farm. So it’s all I’ve know. It is very refreshing to watch your videos. I’m trying to continue his legacy and do the things he always wanted. My goal is to start acquiring implements to do my own hay one day. Any tips are welcome and appreciated! Hope you don’t mind me borrowing some of your ideas! Sorry for the rambling😅 God bless from VA.
Hi Andrew! Thanks for subscribing and sharing your story! I think that it is great that you are carrying on your family's tradition and your grandaddy's legacy. I'm sure he is very proud of you! We can totally relate to the overwhelmingness of maintaining a small farm/homestead! I feel like we have been nonstop since we bought this place but to see the things we have accomplished in just a few years brings us so much joy! Thanks for following along on our journey! God Bless!

Can we get an update on what the troughs look like after you drilled holes in them for drainage?
We just added a few holes, so water won’t stand in the troughs. STAY TUNED for a new simplistic trough design! Video coming soon! Thanks for watching!
Just want to know about the trough please
