Made a lot of metal ones out of old water heater tanks.. made a couple from plastic barrels for salt and mineral feeders.. used all stainless bolts and screws.. They will work great!!!
Thanks. We just need something to put a little feed in for our stockers on pasture. I know a lot of folks just feed on the ground, but the thought of the wasted feed bugs me!
We haven’t had much, if any, trouble with them turning the troughs over and spilling any. Of course, they will step in the troughs and we usually flip the over to dump any debris they track in there before next feeding. We plan to make some more. We primarily use them with our stocker calves out on summer pasture and use the more traditional bunks for our cow herd this time of year.

We used a blade specifically designed for plastic. You should be able to find them at any hardware store. Thanks for watching!
