Mommy my friends and I rescued 41 baby raccoons this year they were with us since April and we released them on a farm last Sunday it was very rewarding to see them go free, God Bless nice haul

We were raised eating tomato sandwiches. Also bacon, lettuce and tomato’s. We had one for lunch today. Our little tomato patch has given us plenty on 6 plants. We have shared some with family and friends.

Raccoon makes the best pet you could have. My brother brought me home a baby 1 and I had him for 11 years. Litter trained and slept right in bed with me. Loved him
Raccoons are super cute especially when they are climbing up the wall of my house and looking in the window. Yes it happened! A little one, broad daylight. Hubby said no on keeping it. He doesn't appreciate them climbing in the combine and tractor engines taking a big stinky. Not to mention what they do in the barns. We had a momma and babies living in the unattatched garage over his work truck. They used the "toilet" in the same spot until it soaked through the wood and it started to rot. You have City Raccoons and we have Country Raccoons!
His name is Jim Blackwood and he is in Nova Scotia. I have been subscribed to his channel for a few years. Jim is currently recovering from major surgery so his wife Angie (originally from Atlanta) is caring for the animals. They have a very varied diet of hot dogs (chicken), cookies, dog food, marshmallows, cereal, fruit and even hamburger helper. Checkout the one with the 3 orphaned kitts it is hilarious.

A commemorative coin was minted for the raccoon man . He was a police officer and saw a flying saucer. He feeds them hot dogs, marshmallows,grapes and cookies. They have names and take the food from his hands. He’s wonderful!
My friend from HS (Class of 1974) had a pet raccoon and once took her into Olan Mills to have a professional portrait done of the two of them. Funniest thing I've ever seen...she was smiling and had her little paws crossed on her belly. The raccoon looked cute as well.

Raccoons are highly intelligent just make sure they are up on their shots. Honestly raccoons are called trash pandas they love dumpster diving! My mom had a pet raccoon and my Uncle used to give him a cube of sugar and they clean their food so the raccoon would clean the sugar cube and when he was done the sugar cube had disappeared with all the cleaning ...my Mom would give him a grape and he loved them the best.
Hi Frugal Raccoons, I love tomato sandwiches too. The English love cucumber sandwiches which I think Americans should try, nice n’ crunchy. I tried that mayonnaise u like and it wasn’t as bad as when I was a kid. I favor Hellmans, but I can now eat the other if I don’t have it. A lot of good ham for the dogs and cats too if u have no room in the refrigerator. U can make a lot of BLT’s with all those tomatoes.

Raccoon story: My daughter was on a business trip in Ohio, we’re from Montana, and sent me a picture of a guy walking his dog and raccoon 🦝, both on leashes. Otter story: last month, three women were floating in one of our Mt rivers at sundown, and were attacked by a single otter. One of the women was nearly killed!
Well, we are having a problem with that exact issue with a raccoon. We have had one that has been eating the cat food we put out for the possum and we are just taken with it. She/he (we call it Oliver) eats his food and just lays down outside our family room door waiting for more. The cat is not real happy, but is getting used to it. We feed the hummingbirds, the birds and the squirrels too, but Olie is just real cute.
OMG -what a haul! I'm a nervous wreck until he gets loaded up and leaves. So much variety! My aunt had a pet raccoon. He would bite my grandma's heels on the back. He cleaned out the goldfish bowl and opened the doors. You might want to think about this . . .

Raccoons are really cute but they’re stubborn. There were 2 here & decided they wanted to live where so they chewed holes in my roof to live in the attic! My friend spent thousands of $$ to get rid of them. But they are cute!!!

I appreciate everyone has their opinions on keeping animals,while kindness is important to all living beings,I personally don’t think it’s natural unless they were born in a human environment. We are responsible for domesticating cats and dogs,hundreds of years now, and every other animal after that- humans are responsible. I say,there’s loads of homeless cats and dogs that need us,they’re struggling to survive - contribute to saving some of them from the kill shelters- because we need to fix this. I respect what you want to do because you are a kind responsible human xx

I got so much meat last night it was unbelievable. You guys inspire me. Sonja , Tampa, Florida P.S... We have raccoons come for our trash bins. One will hold the lid up while the others retrieve food. One got stuck in the bin when it was low. They are so smart that 3 of them formed a chain into the bin to allow the stuck one out.
I live in a mobile home park and there is a dumpster up front where a lot of raccoons eat nightly, I always open food that I'm throwing away for them, I sure wish I could give you one of those the mom has babies sometimes there is a highway near and I've seen once in awhile out there a raccoon gets killed there, that is so sad ,one night there was a huge one on my porch.
We actually have a deal made with our very that if there's any baby raccoons that need a good home we are going to get them. My husband used to have one as a kid. And my best friend had one and I loved it so much but as it got huge it wanted outside but still came around but some get mean so it's 50/50. Just ask your local vet for real hun. Awesome haul 👌👍. Also, maybe you could look into doing raccoon rehab? I don't personally like wild animals being kept as pets, but there's a huge need for people to rehab orphaned babies!
Been feeding them for years, maybe about 12 years for sure! I live in a neighborhood that is pretty well populated with people but I keep my backyard very woodsy. I'm sure they don't like me feeding them but I feed everything, birds, crows and squirrels also. I do buy peanuts which racoons love and pick up cookies with frosting in the middle. My grapes for them come from the produce dumpster as well. Had one knocking on my front door the other day at 3am and I looked out and opened the door and he looked at me as if to say Where's my dinner!
That was one good haul FD . It still blows my mind on how much the stores throw away . I can't see why they can't donate it to a charity or soup kitchen or even find someone that has farm animals that they could give them to instead of just throwing it away. I have three dehydrators going right now on bell peppers, white onions, cantaloupe and then radishes and tomatoes. Have gallon jar's to be filled but keep moisture pack in them. Food last 22 years so do it right. Grown to keep foods in our family we save tons of money.

Do you go to Dollar General , Old Navy, Sally’s Beauty Supply, Michaels, Party City, Bed Bath and Beyond , World Market , Staples, or someplace like a liquidation store ( usually Amazon returns)Home Depot or Lowe’s ? Do you have a Harbour Freight store there ? I’m curios … Fantastic haul , well done .
Racoon is a wild animal and it’s it nature to be . They are not pets but you can feed them but don’t take them for pets . They need to be free. Great dive.

I would check with a vet or the zoo before getting a raccoon. Also would consider the laws in your town.They are cute but I would research it first.

Cats actually domesticated themselves and learned to meow like a human baby sound. That's how much they love us.

I have three dehydrators going right now on bell peppers, white onions, cantaloupe and then radishes and tomatoes. Have gallon jar's to be filled but keep moisture pack in them. Food last 22 years so do it right. Grown to keep foods in our family we save tons of money.

Racoon is a wild animal and it’s it nature to be . They are not pets but you can feed them but don’t take them for pets . They need to be free. Great dive.
