Tip; Use a regular nail polish peel off base coat under you gels if you wanna change manis more often or don't wanna soak - but still want the strength of gel polish
Thanks for these tips and for sharing them. My nails are too short (bitten) so I cannot do a gel overlay. But the do's and dont's still help with soft gel tips because you basically prep your natural nail the same way, apply the soft gel tips and then buff the tip before applying the gel nail polish. Thanks again. Much Respect 🌹♥️‼️
Mine tends to pop off. Don’t know what I do wrong but they come of in day or few hours as whole nail 🤦🏻♀️ layers are thin, haven’t anything on my skin. Before painting use nail polish remover to clean any oils and of-course do my cuticles. Only thing what can I imagine is that I use standard nail polish remover to clean sticky layer off and curing each layer for 60 sec except small nail art .
I can't find anyone addressing my problem so any help appreciated. Followed all instructions carefully, had gel nail manicure (OPI) twice and watched carefully, no problems. Got recommended high end lamp, all OPI gel polish, and did all prep as you outlined. Doesn't matter how long I leave hand under/in lamp polish does not cure/stays tacky. Everything purchased new from professional supply store. Any suggestions other than what you have in your video that might cause this?
I will be starting gel nail polish designs soon starting with Christmas looks! I do have a video for dos and don’ts striping tape with gel here th-cam.com/video/zTukQBTmVi8/w-d-xo.html
What is an OK frequency to change out nail colors? I’m brand-brand new to DIY gel nails and I have thin nails anyway, I just don’t want to end up wrecking my nails by doing things too often or inadvertently thinning them out more
Hi Gabby, great videos, thanks. So my question is, are we to cure the gel under the light after EACH coat? I thought it was only after the top activating coat?
@Danielle MacDuff Use less polish and start lower on the nail plate then use the brush to gently push the polish toward the cuticle (like at 5:11 🖤) Good luck! ☺️
Placing the polish further away from the cuticle and then pushing it down helps! You can also try different brands that have a formula that isn’t as thin/runny
Actually, Doug Schoon looked at nails being filed under the microscope and said it made no difference whether you file in one direction or go back and forth. For those who don't know, Doug is THE nail scientist.
:30 Epinequium, I just need to know this word. I've seen tutorials where they literally cut off that part and I gasp in horror because I know that wrong

I definitely understand that, regular nail polish will always be my favorite!
thank you!
Tnx. Extremely helpful 👍
so glad it helped!
Just started watching your videos and I’m hooked❤️
Thx you.
Why is my gel nailpolish so goopy? 🤔 my nails end up as a huge thickness
Do gel polish suppose to peel off easily?
it can if the nail isn't prepped properly..but it should last for 2 weeks!
❤️❤️❤️
LIKE it!
Did you go to nail school, or are you just really good at nails? You’re good at nails either way, just curious. 😊😁
I went to nail school last year! thank you ❤️
@@GabbyAngelique cool! How long did it take?
Ta lampa się nie nadaje. Powinna być Sun one 48 w a nie mostek, bo uczulenia dostaniesz to raz a dwa skórki się usuwa.
Hello

Epinequium, I just need to know this word. I've seen tutorials where they literally cut off that part and I gasp in horror because I know that wrong
yeah you never want to cut eponychium because that’s living skin!
I do all those steps and sometimes after a few days my gel pops off...lol
have you tried out different brands?
Also using a bonder may help!
Great video! Thank you!
