    • Voltas Beko DT8S Table...
    In this video I have shown filling salt and rinse aid for the first time in Voltas Beko Tabletop dishwasher DT8S.
    It is a cute little tabletop dishwasher and is best suited for small families, 2-3 people and rests comfortably on the kitchen platform.
    Dimensions -
    Height - 59 cm
    Width - 55 cm
    Depth - 50 cm
    Weight - 25.5 kgs
    I have also shown how to set the salt and rinse aid consumption levels in the machine.
    I shall follow it up with more videos showing control panel, internal parts, features and also demo of various cycles with different types of dishes.
    I shall also post a video giving my opinion and review of this model listing out the pros and cons.
    Keep watching!
    Thanks for all the love and support!

    Thank you so so much. You explained much better than the service personnel. Watched your videos even before buying. I bought the machine day before and have been using with some challenge - mainly because of inexperience. The service centre’s people recommend so many things that are contrary to the manual - such as do not adjust hard water setting, no need to run a wash cycle after adding salt. In fact the guy left the salt lid a bit open when he went, salt was all over dishes in the first wash!!! Even the manual is not that updated. Your video was perfect. Eagerly waiting for the next ones. One point: for the mini and the eco cycles, the detergent stays clumped in the dispenser if we add the recommended amount. Service personnel asked to add less and elevate the drainage pipe a bit. Manual also says that salt light indicator may stay on for a few days even after adding salt. This was not true for me, the light went off. Also, the manual says we can take the filter apart but I was unable to do it. Could you please show if that happens when you do a video on it? Thanks

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for liking my videos. And thanks for sharing your experience and views. You are right about the installation person/service centre recommendations. Yes, even for me the salt light went off immediately after salt filling contrary to what is mentioned in manual. Regarding the clumping of detergent, this happens if the compartment is wet or the detergent is not dry (but moist). Detergent is hygroscopic and becomes wet if not stored in air tight containers. However will share my experience on this in my videos.
      I shall post a video on filter cleaning very soon. Stay tuned. Thanks for your patience, love and support.

      Hi, sorry for the delayed reply.
      Best would be to get your water hardness tested from a water testing lab so that you can keep the correct salt and rinse aid setting in your machine.
      The harder the water, the level has to be increased so that you can avoid scale formation on your vessels and the interiors of the machine and also for good cleaning results.
      The correct setting will ensure the correct amount of usage of all the consumables.

      Hi Smitty Koshy, if you mean Finish liquid instead of detergent (actually they have gel not liquid), then it's ok. But if you mean manual dish wash liquid like Pril, Vim etc. , no you are not supposed to use them as they cause foam and this is not suitable for cleaning in dishwasher.

    How to do Filter cleaning . Is it required to clean after every wash cycle

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will be demonstrating on how to clean the filter of this dishwasher in my video series.
      Not needed to clean after every cycle. May be once a week or depending on how frequently you use the machine and how soiled your dishes are on a regular basis.
      But depending on how dirty it gets, change the frequency of cleaning. Thanks.

    • @avinashs.m3213
      @avinashs.m3213 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think you have to clean at all if you remove most of the food particles and run longer cycles regularly. Because the detergent itself is strong enough to dissolve all the food particles at higher temperatures like 60 70. I was just surprised to see even after 1 month I couldn't find a single rice particle in the filter.

    I use fortune dish wash powder.I find that sometimes some washing powder is left behind in the soap container. What could be the reason.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sunita, sorry for the delayed reply. There could be a few reasons for this. I'm giving below some solutions which you can follow to avoid this :
      1. After loading utensils, always check that the detergent compartment is dry, before filling the detergent.
      2. Choose the correct wash program based on the amount of soiled dishes you load. For a heavier load with more soiled dishes, you may have to choose a higher temperature cycle, where there is more rinsing, in which case the detergent would be totally used up.
      3. Try to fill the right quantity of detergent based on the load. Less for less soiled load and more for more soiled load.
      4. Adjust the detergent quantity based on your water hardness. Soft water uses very little detergent.
      Hope you find the answers useful.
      Good luck.

      TDS 1300 is very high for a dishwasher. Some manufacturers mention it can work upto 900 TDS but my personal opinion is that to get satisfactory cleaning, the TDS should not be more than 600 to 700.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Deepak, there could be so many reasons for this :
      1. Over cluttering and dishes blocking the detergent compartment, i.e. improper loading
      2. Compartment being wet while placing the tablet
      3. Any power cut during operation
      4. Dishes not very soiled
      Anyway did you check if the dishes were hot? Did the program run the full time 2h 40m?
      Try once again the same way taking care of the above mentioned points and see what happens. I'm sure the tablet cover will dissolve and it will be fully used up.

      What Ma’am said is the best way. For a rough estimate you can google for some government reports. I also bought a TDS meter on Amazon (around Rs 200) to arrive at a rough estimate. You can also ask your local aqua guard repair personnel - they know. If you buy a big machine then they will provide a water hardness test strip. Your local Beto service centre may know if they are competent - you can get their number from the Beko customer care. Strips are also available on Amazon but a bit expensive. For me the service centre people just asked to keep it at factory setting despite very hard water.

    Mam, I have voltas beko table top dishwasher. I am in Pune, using municipal water supply. It's been 8-9 months since I have filled rinse aid but it's still not empty. And required to be refilled after 6-7 months since first filling.
    Is the dishwasher working fine ?

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mohit Kumar, Pune water is very soft. I am sure you must have kept your salt and rinse aid setting to the minimum level.
      Have you been using the dishwasher every day, at least one cycle, in these 8-9 months?
      What is your rinse aid setting? How much rinse aid did you fill initially and can you see the marking inside to check if it is full or empty or partially used? Please check it.
      If your setting is kept at the lowest level, it will not be consuming at all. You can increase by a level if required, based on your cleaning results. If you're happy with your cleaning with the current setting, don't change anything.
      In any case, i think you need not worry as long as you are happy with your cleaning results.
      Thanks.

      Hi Gheetha, can you please test your water hardness for calcium and magnesium in any food/water testing lab so as to know the correct TDS of your water.
      The harder the water, the more difficult it is to get effective cleaning of dishes in spite of keeping high salt and rinse aid settings.
      If you can connect a water softener to your water supply, then things can improve a lot, in which case a dishwasher can be used.
      Few of my viewers are using a dishwasher with TDS above 1000 ppm. But I do not know, how cost effective or the cleaning efficiency is in such cases.

      Hi Ami, since Mumbai water is very soft, detergents combined with salt and rinse aid at the lowest settings will give you good cleaning results. You can try that out if you have not.
      In case you're using tablets, you need not use salt and rinse aid.

      @@BhuvanaAdi Hi I am also staying in mumbai. Based on your videos purchased Voltas beko 8 4 days back and I am cursing myself for not getting a dishwasher many years back 🙄. thanks for such detailed videos.
      My question is I am using finish tablet. I have seen that the dishes don't dry much in any of the modes and there is some water on the floor of the dishwasher. Do I have to change the rinse aid settings for tablet also to 1? It is in default 4 setting right now.
      I also noticed that as soon as the washing is over I open the door and the vessels are not very hot I am able to take them out. It is hot but hot very hot that I cannot touch. Is there any problem?
      Please advise. Thanks in advance

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@padupaul9439 hi, congrats on your new purchase. Yes dishwashers are indeed a boon to every household.
      I am aware of Bombay water quality. I don't think you have to use salt and rinse aid in case you are using tablets, as Bombay water is very soft.
      But for the soft water, you can actually use detergent with a combination of salt and rinse aid with their levels set at minimum.
      In case you are happy with tablets and plan to use them on a regular basis, you can set both salt and rinse aid to zero. You try this way for a few weeks. Depending on the cleaning quality, you can decide whether to use rinse aid and salt.
      Please change the default settings of 4 which is very high for your water.
      After the program completes, wait for at least 10 minutes and then open the door slightly. Leave it open at an angle for say 15-20 minutes before you open the door fully. The vessels should be dry totally except for plastics which do not dry easily in a dishwasher.
      After following this, of you still feel drying is not enough, may be the rinse aid content on the tablet is not enough for drying. In that case, add rinse aid and keep it a lower level setting.
      About your vessels not being hot after the completion of the program, you have not mentioned which is the program you use regularly. Generally vessels will be hot only in cycles like intensive. But in this dishwasher, the drying time at the end of most cycles is long, that could be the reason for dishes not staying very hot.
      Please try out all the programs and check if this the case always.
      In case, after trying out all the above, you still feel there is water in the bottom and dishes are not hot, please feel free to call for service. But, I don't think that may be needed.
      You please start observing and noting down various combinations to understand your machine better.
      Hope my answers help you.
      Thank you.

      @@BhuvanaAdi Thank you so much for detailed response. Will start noting down as suggested.
      Two times when I washed using clean and shine mode the finish tablet didn't dissolve completely and there was traces of the tablet in some vessels I had to rinse it again by hand.
      Also once in intensive mode the tablet remained intact in the compartment though the box was open. The vessels got washed just in hot water. After an hour of cooling the dishwasher I again started the same mode and this time it got cleaned properly. Didn't do any changes don't know why the first time it didn't function properly.

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @PADU Paul hi, this happens if the compartment is even slightly wet while placing the tablet or even if there are not enough soiled vessels in that particular load. That is why it is a better option to use detergent, rinse aid and salt than tablet on many cases.
      I've explained about this in detail in a video in my channel. Please watch that to understand this concept. Sharing the link below:

    • @BhuvanaAdi
      @BhuvanaAdi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats on your new purchase Saranya!
      Using rinse aid is your choice. Many people avoid using rinse aid. It helps in drying the utensils and giving it a shine. Also if your water is soft you can skip using it. But it's better to use in case you've hard water.
      Since you plan to use Crystale tablet, tablet has rinse aid to a certain extent, so you need not use rinse aid. But if your cleaning is not good you've to use it.
      Most importantly you've to adjust your salt/hardness setting based on your water hardness to get good cleaning results.
      Thanks.
